I have stayed many times in many hotels over the last 30 years and have never had such a bad experience first off the guy at the front desk kept calling me asking when is my ETA then he offers to take me to take me to dinner and then took forever to get me checked in I finally get my room key go in and the rooms not even ready theres no TV or fridge there’s tools and a light fixture on the table the room is a disaster and I was just over it so I asked for my money back and then the guys sister says we could take u to dinner and give u a discount. I wouldn’t recommend this place even if your tired and desperate sleep in your car! Woman traveling alone definitely shouldn’t stay here not safe for kids either! Just don’t stay here! I don’t even know how that place is even in business!

I was stranded in Lakeport due to a vehicle breakdown. Rainbow Lodge management, Charles, was extremely accommodating with my three dogs and a cat, as I was in the process of moving to Fort Bragg. The room is clean and comfortable, and the atmosphere quiet. Microwave, refrigerator, and wifi in room. Next to the lake with a chance to walk across the street and enjoy the beauty. The Mexican restaurant next door serves great food with large portions–enough for two meals! I met other staff, who were also very helpful. As stressful as the situation was with my transportation issues, Rainbow was like an oasis for my three-day stay. (My dogs enjoyed the atmosphere as well.)

This place is a cozy spot, with a safe atmosphere. Pet and people (kids, adults & even evacuees s too) friendly. Rooms are decent, not extravagant, but not shabby either. Slightly old fashioned in a solid, real-feeling way. I like it.

Very small room, broken remote (off/on and volume), could’ve been a tiny bit cleaner, but charming and welcoming anyhow. Comfy bed, heater worked. Outside seating, across from lake. Very reasonable rate. Off season.

The owners are very friendly and always have a smile! The rates are decent and this establishment is close to a Mexican Restaurant and across the street from the lake. I give it five stars for my opinion. ..I am not giving this establishment “five stars” for its amenities. It’s Family-owned and they allow pets for another fee. Their gift shop is very nice…ladies- they sell earrings and other jewelry. Even if you’re not staying here…stop by and check out their gift shop!
