Very disappointing. The front door was locked from the inside. After 4 tries, we rang the proprietor who fortunately was available. The room was postage stamp small with little space for 2 very small suitcases. The chairs were very uncomfortable and barely fit in the room. The bed table on the left side was set so far back that I had to get on and off the bed to get anything off it or put anything on it. The bed was about 6” higher than normal and required minor gymnastics to get on it. There were 2 regular pillows on the bed and 5 fairly useless gaudy stuffed pillows. 4 normal pillows would have been so much more useful. The wall outlets were so loose that the charging blocks literally fell out of them. I had to prop up the block with a pillow to charge my phone. The juice was room temperature and very unappetizing. There were crumbs on the table the night before the morning offering. And finally the shower had such low water pressure that for $238.00 I could not even take a shower in the morning. The only redeeming feature was the grounds, which were well maintained and quite nice. I would remove the useless steel ball on the pedestal, as it obscures a lovely view of the woods. It might be better placed where it does not impose itself on the viewer. In short, I am glad to see the place is for sale, as perhaps a new owner might be willing to make his/her guests more comfortable.

We stayed in the Spring room for two nights. Very comfortable and quiet. The coffee/snack service was on time and very good. The Inn is a short walk to downtown. Next time we pass through Pescadero we will stay here again.
The Inn’s owner was very pleasant and accommodating. The rooms could benefit from a few fixes, like curtains that better blocked out the light. Morning coffee was not good. Loved being near spectacular beaches, maybe 15 minute drive. All in all, a very nice visit.
This was an extremely disappointing experience. Most reviews have been high, but it should have been a red flag that there have not been any reviews in months.
We stayed at the Garden Cottage. Being in a separate unit was nice, but that’s where the positives end. Things are old and falling apart. There was dirt on the table. The glass that accompanied the morning juice was dirty itself with a layer of dark stuff on the bottom (which I only discovered after I had already poured juice into it and almost drank it, yuck). There is no comfortable place to sit with a desk/table.
The owners never met us. The welcome letter gives Covid as a reason for no contact, but it’s Winter 2024 and there is no reason for this anymore (it’s perfectly fine for people to wear masks if there are health concerns). There was zero feeling of hospitality.
The single thing going for this place is its location as it’s very close to town and also next to a nice little creek.
I would never stay here again and advise others against doing so until the owners take cleanliness, functionality, and hospitality more seriously.
