The location is great. Of the several motels in a row there, this is the closest to the ocean. The ground floor balconies are raised up several feet from ground level giving an even better view of the ocean. The room was very clean and actually consisted of 2 separate rooms on different levels. The furniture provided was attractive but every piece of it, headboards, footboards, dressers, side tables, all of it, has very sharp corners. There was a nicely presented coffee bar with a microwave and very small refrigerator. Unfortunately, the refrigerator didn’t keep the food as cold as we would have liked. The bathroom was clean but very dated. Looks like something out of the 60s. A large, standing fan and small, decorative fireplace type heater were provided to regulate the temperature. There is no central heating or air conditioning available. The best part of the room was the big picture window and balcony overlooking the ocean. The dining table was set in front of the window offering a gorgeous view with every meal. The balcony was placed in front of the window and furnished with reasonably comfortable, high backed patio chairs. In addition to the ocean view, the motel is set right along the coastal trail for easy access to either direction. For me, the parade of dogs being exercised on the trail and the fishing boats added to my enjoyment of the scenery. Access to the beach was an easy 200′ walk from the motel with a trail right in front of our room. The price was reasonable for the location and beach access. The motel is also very close to dining and shopping choices. Less than a mile from the main shopping district in Fort Bragg.

This was a great place to stay. While not the fanciest of places I’ve stay this exceeded my expecting. We stayed in one of the king rooms with a sitting room. They also offer rooms with 2 queens and rooms with a jacuzzi with jets. The location was amazing. Not only did the pricing beat out its local competitors on the same street but it connects to a pathway to the beach. It is also just a few minutes away from most stuff in town. It’s just a few minute drive to several beaches, the downtown shops, skunk train, and many wonderful restaurants. The rooms were very clean, some of the cleanest I’ve seen. They also provided a portable heater in the room. Every single room has an ocean view.

Awesome experience! Best hotel we’ve had with a view. What makes our experience wonderful is the view and quiet atmosphere that this place has provided. Not a lot of tourists and people are walking around so we got to enjoy the view of the beach to ourselves— watching the sunrise and sunset. It’s so near that we just walk for a bit and got to see the full view of the beach.
