Lady at the register was extremely rude when going through a consignment process. I tried to either consign or donate. She was constantly rolling her eyes while looking through the merchandise and making groaning noises while doing so. She made me feel terrible for even bringing clothing in. I took my clothes and donated them to Eco Groovy in Arcata. The people are very nice there and were willing to accept the huge bag of clothing, and entire bag of brand-new jeans for little girls with no issues what-so-ever, and didn’t make me feel like a complete idiot for doing so!
The staff are friendly and helpful, the prices are good, but the owner is weird. I found a defect in the clothes and wanted a small discount to fix it. She said she would pay someone to do it or think about it? It was just an odd experience. She’s really cheap or doesn’t want to give anyone a discount and would rather pay someone else the price of the discount.
Lots 4 Tots used to be the place where you’d go to donate your clothes and then buy affordable 2nd hand clothing. This is not the case now. Unfortunately they turned into the store that prices items based on the internet prices. I’ve also seen them resell items they’ve been donated online. Anything slightly cool is put onto the “designer” rack and priced at $50. You can also easily find shoes priced at $50 and above. There were even decade old Irish Setter shoes priced at $100. It’s disappointing what the store turned into. If I wanted Ebay prices I’d shop on Ebay. If you’re looking for a thrift store, this isn’t one anymore.
If I could I would give it 0 stars I most definitely would! I really liked the old lots for tots so I was super excited to come and check the new place out with my husband and my son while we were getting our truck worked on since it was just down the block. And when we walked in the guy immediately told me that he had to keep my purse. That he has to keep it up front like I was some criminal and thief. I was really taken aback and my husband was steaming. How rude!! Isn’t that what cameras are for? And yet still treat customers like they are thiefs! I probably wouldn’t have taken it so bad if I didn’t see another lady in there walking around in there with her purse! So we left and we are never going in there again!! I don’t recommend this place at all!!
