Leonard Lake Reserve is truly one of a kind. I just hosted an event for 80 people here and could not be more impressed with the beauty of the land and the kindness of the caretakers and other staff who tend to this place.
Old growth redwoods, a pristine lake, and several well-appointed cabins that have obviously been very well-loved over the years. It’s also so rare to find a venue in California that allows for wood stoves in the houses and a fire pit outside. All the little details really made for an unforgettable experience.
The road in was a little rough because we had a lot of rain and were towing a trailer for the event, but any car could make it in easily when the roads are dry. Definitely an exciting adventure for folks coming from the city!
Thank you to all the staff at Leonard Lake who made us feel so at home. You all are the best!

Such an incredible venue — my friend had his wedding here and we all loved it so much, we threw a big event here again a few years later. Have been back out a couple other times just to book the cabins and enjoy the beautiful lake and forest. Shannon and Jared are awesome hosts, super responsive and helpful with everything, but also incredibly respectful of privacy. Extra shoutout to Shannon for going above and beyond to help us with our event this year!! 11/10 recommend Leonard Lake Reserve!

We came here for a reunion weekend with 10 adults and 5 kids/babies. It was so fabulous! I loved the feeling of being somewhere so secluded and quiet, amidst beautiful trees and right against a seemingly private lake. We are a group of friends who love to cook, and the kitchen was the best house rental kitchen I’ve ever seen. They even have a cupboard for cake stands! The glasses and plates are numerous and the organization made cooking easy. The linens were comfortable. We also loved the wood burning fires indoors. I would love to come back for longer!
