The campsite is far from level; we were barely able to level our camper. There is poison oak EVERYWHERE. The street lights throughout camp don’t go off at quiet hours and ruin the dark sky, the ambiance, and the ability to have a nice sound sleep.
We had a fantastic time at this campsite. The campsites are clean and well-maintained. The lake is beautiful, and if you happen to forget something, the town is close by.
This campground was probably cute at one time for tent camping but has been sadly neglected. It is laid out on a Hillside so very few, if any spots are level. Definitely not suited for large rigs. We had a 28ft trailer and struggled to maneuver. Ive stayed at many Army corp campgrounds and this one is definitely overpriced and neglected.
Very pretty campground near Ukiah. Circling Ranger making sure the area was patrolled. Very clean bath houses, lots of available sites, Day user locals and campers here need to learn Leave No Trace, pick up trash and not let their dogs chase the Canadian Geese and Plovers, both of which are protected under the migratory bird act. Hopefully the government shutdown will end soon and the limited staff will have more help. In the meantime, Leave No Trace.
Campground was not well lit or well labeled. It is overpriced for what it is. There was only 2 other families there. There was animal activity in the woods all night so that was not comfortable. Fishing areas bathrooms were terrible with having been open all night. Bugs everywhere because of that. Camp areas bathrooms were pretty clean. Shower rooms were not very good. Camp area bathrooms were about what I would imagine a prison has. .Metal facilities
Fishing area looked great although we could not stay to do so.
One homeless man stayed in the separate upper parking lot. It wasn’t an issue.
Good views. Location has good potential but seems to be a last resort.
Careful on entry. Tire spikes present at exit to prevent entry. At night it isn’t as obvious that they are there.
This would not be a first option for me in this area.
