I initially liked this place, always want to support Mom and pop businesses. I recently called for a brake and electric check, whoever it was wanted to charge me $450! Are you insane?! Broadway charges $250, Dave’s charges $350. I will never go to Johnson’s again, ever. Sorry, I won’t support greed.

Made it home! They found a head gasket going bad on my RV along with a leaking fuel pump and defective carburetor. It took a week to get the parts. Since I live in the RV they were kind enough to stay until parts arrived. Even provided electricity and water! No extra charges. I know where I’ll be going any time I have auto problems!

I just moved to Humboldt from eastern Iowa and I needed to get a smog test done so I could register my vehicle at the DMV. I made a mistake with my appointment and went in a day early. I can’t tell you how pleased I am with Jon and all of the folks at Johnson electric. I had four other mechanics look at this electrical problem and no one was able to solve it over a month period and four tows.
Jon is the best electric electrical trouble shooter auto electric guy in the region. He methodically troubleshot and removed all possibilities until there were none. The problem was outside the expert system diagnosis tree, but Jon solved by discovering a lawsuit at Honda for running anti-theft and diagnosis controls on a separate K bus, not industry standard, not on the cam-bus for the make model and year in question where it should be
I can’t express how on it he was through the whole process and used his time wisely, comprehensively, and efficiently. Bonus: they are an auto electric and a mechanic shop which only added value helping me remediate a plan for this vehicle in alignment with its maintenance records. Not only did they solve the exceptionally challenging problem, now I have a maintenance plan to get back on track from the previous owner. Yes, their rate is a little higher than other mechanics but the quality, experience, and honesty while getting the outcome plus is priceless. I will always bring my auto electric work to you guys.
