A gift from the garden for the best family auto shop in all the land!
I got my brakes done on Wednesday at JL. On Thursday, I thought my car was going to rattle apart, so I drove it straight back to the shop. I had a failing caliper that wasn’t noticeable until I got new brakepads. Lyle took full pity on the double whammy to my wallet and worked with me on price by cutting his labor charge saying, I just want you to be happy. That is the kind of community driven, family owned small business I want to support with my dollars. Their community support goes far beyond just keeping their customers happy. Their work with local organizations, like Boys & Girls Club and others, speaks volumes for the values they hold, not just as business owners but as exceptional humans. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Infinite stars for this amazing automotive shop! Jack Black (my little chevy chasers name) loves his new shoes from his favorite shop. Thank you so much Jesse and Lyle.
As a caterer starting a busy wedding season, there is nothing more terrifying the company van dying in the middle of the road. But Jessie and Lyle had the van diagnosed with 4 bad spark plugs and replaced them before I could even finish the weekend’s grocery shopping.
What I thought would take a week or more and several hundreds (or even thousands) of dollars – it turned out to be an easy solution. There was no BS, no upsell about other “emergency” fixes. Just the facts and a van that is ready to take on a fully booked summer.
This is why I trust JL Automotive to care of my van. Because it’s not just a vehicle. It’s my livelihood.
Me and my very reliable 10 year old Toyota had our first hick up in all our time together. The alternator could give no more. I immediately called up J & L Automotive, they got me in first thing the next morning and in less than 3 hours we were back on the road! Only the best for my girl! Jessie and Lyle make a great team and provide friendly, down to earth service. They answered all my questions and I had such peach of mind.
I took my vehicle in for a fairly simple $500 repair. $4000 and a month later I finally told them I just wanted my car back. At first they said no, telling me my vehicle was so bad that I’d need another $2000 of repairs, which would have made my total for repairs over $6000. I said this seemed off and insisted they give me back my car. The guy started yelling at me over the phone, calling me names and telling me I don’t know anything. I told him it was really messed up to yell at me and that I expected my car back by the end of the week. After that they played nice but kept insisting my car would probably fall apart within 6 months because I didn’t do the last repair. Two years later my car is still going. They advertise female owned and lgbtqia+ friendly, but that’s not the experience I had
Edit: Love the constant denials and aggressive answers to negative reviews. Pretty much the behavior I experienced. I know where I took my car so if they didn’t remember me probably means this is their typical service
Edit 2: wow, thanks for sharing my personal info online. Really cool that you changed your comment without edit history then doxed me. I guess you didn’t really care about customer service then
