I did order and delivery the food looked really good. I wanted to really try the cold noodles, it had a cold pack in the bag to keep it cold which was a nice thing of them to do. The cold noodles was packed which I’m happy about. I also got the Dduk bok gi it wasn’t as much as thought I would get for 16$ an additional 4 for the cheese so that’s 21$ the drink was not sealed for transport as other restaurants but it tasted great. I do want and eat in person for sure

We were pleasantly surprised to find a solid Korean restaurant in Brentwood, a bit on the edge of the Bay Area. The venue is clean, bright, and pleasant.

We ordered the lunch specials with pork and short ribs, which come with soup and other sides—all for under $20, offering great value. Overall, everything tasted good, although the short ribs were a bit over-charred.

The small side dishes were enjoyable, and the staff were very happy to provide refills. Service was welcoming and attentive—the staff checked in on us frequently to make sure everything was good. We didn’t try the boba tea this time, so we can’t comment on that.

Overall, this is definitely a good Korean spot worth visiting if you’re in the area.

My favorite Korean restaurant ❤️ literally the best I’ve ever been to! And I’m grateful because it’s so hard to find a good Korean restaurant in this area. The food is so authentic I’m amazed with each dish I’ve ordered because it reminds me and my boo of his Korean grandma’s cooking! Literally the food is sooooo delicious it makes me happy dance as I’m eating and the portion size is more than enough and worth your bucks!! And my family can eat a lot lol. I couldn’t wait to eat that I forgot to take pictures of my food beforehand but the presentation of the food is beautifully prepared too. And the customer service is top notch they continue to check on us and want to make sure we are happy with our food and service. The best family owned restaurant/business! I recognized the owner from a previous owned restaurant and I’m sooooo happy he opened up here. He’s super kind and welcoming, and attentive. Well deserves 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ !!!! I will definitely be back to show my support and make my way through the menu. So far I’ve tried the fried calamari, seafood tofu soup, spicy pork bibimbap, Hambagu, pan broiled pork belly kimchi w/tofu, kimchi tofu stew, omurice w/ribeye steak, kimchi fried rice, and one of their specialty drinks that is their own made, they have many different ones but the one we tried was called dragon refreshing. Alll sooo yummyyyy!!! Thank you Hwan-Yeong for meeting my Korean cravings!!!! Until next time!! ~~~ ^_^

Hwan-Yeong Korean Restaurant in Brentwood had been on my list for a while, and I’m so glad I finally got the chance to try it. I came in around 11:30 and was warmly greeted and seated right away, setting a great tone for the meal. The restaurant was clean, and the employees were friendly, accommodating, and attentive throughout our visit.

The menu offers so many options that it was honestly hard to choose—I already know this will take multiple visits. We ordered the lunch special spicy pork, gamjatang, coffee float, and a matcha latte, and every dish impressed. The flavors were executed beautifully, with nothing overpowering anything else. Everything tasted balanced and intentional.

The gamjatang was a standout—it truly felt like a warm hug in a bowl, comforting and deeply flavorful. The lunch special was generous and came with mandu and japchae, both of which were delicious. The noodles were cooked perfectly, nice and savory. The banchans were all excellent, with the cucumber side dish being a personal favorite.

From food to service, Hwan-Yeong delivered a wonderful experience. I’ll definitely be back to work my way through more of the menu—this place is absolutely worth repeat visits.

Food: Our simple Mackerel and Seafood Bibimbap dish were made perfectly. The explosion of flavors were very much comparable to what we had in Seoul. Authentic, delicious and made with care. Servings are enormous, could be shared between 2 or 3 people.

Service: Our servers were friendly, knowledgeable, and made great recommendations. Very attentive to needs of customers. Will gladly refill side dishes.

Ambiance: Lots of seating available. Good for date nights or friends and family get together.

Value: Prices were reasonable for the quality of food and service.

Definitely a gem! Will come back to try other dishes!
