I’ve stayed at Howard Creek Ranch four or five different times now, and it’s the most peaceful and relaxing place I’ve ever stayed. Every property or room on site has been handcrafted and built with love. My soul and spirit needed this quiet place to recharge, and it provided everything that I need in a stay.

Within steps of walking out of your place, you are near the ocean or creek. Most of the places have a view of the ocean or creek, and it truly feels like a nature preserve. The amazing detail and the construction and cool things sitting around also make it feel like a museum. It’s hard to describe how cool this place is but I it is the best place. It’s the total opposite of a fancy hotel chain or a cookie cutter house. It is very laid-back and the guest that it attracts are also laid-back people perfect for a writer or someone to sit around and read. The owners are genuinely kind and welcoming, and they always make a delicious simple breakfast.

This property truly feels like a little piece of paradise. If you’re looking for a quiet place to unwind and recharge, I can’t recommend it enough. Thankful for the owner for keeping this property alive and revived after so many years and for being such great hosts.

called ahead, Wednesday, told there was a restaurant open in westport, have stayed there on 2 different road trips, so excited to stay in one of their cute cabins, left our name and## phone number, luckily didn’t give them our cc#, got there around 3 pm, no one ine site, looked everywhere, no one, no phone service so decided to go into town and call, great decision, the restaurant she said is open..nope only Thursday through sunday…so we didn’t call and headed south, so disappointed. also the cabin we originally stayed in was overgrown in ivy and the lodge look like it was being worked on, that road!!! maybe grade it once in a while

A lovely little stop with so much history and access to great hiking and beaches. Very dog friendly. I stayed 2 nights in the meadow cabin with my Labrador and we had a fantastic time. It’s the perfect mix of rustic vintage cottagecore seaside vibes. Sunny, Sally and Sue are lovely folks with great stories to tell. Breakfast was delicious and hearty eggs and toast/bagel with fruit and plentiful coffee and tea. It was refreshing to sit and talk over breakfast with other guests and Sally and Sonny. The meadow cabin was quiet and had just enough WiFi to check weather and look at maps but other than that I unplugged fully. It felt like glamping and was so cozy and we loved lighting a fire both nights. Will come back again for sure!

If your looking for the comfort and tranquility this is the place to go, we have had so many amazing trips here! Sunny and Sally are the best hosts you can ask for. The property is absolutely beautiful with trails to hike and beaches to walk. We love it every time we stay here and have made many memories at howard creek ranch.

We had an excellent stay. The owners were so authentic and kind, the home itself is all built by the owner, like a rustic, beautiful landmark that has a ton of character and history! We tried the solar room and were delighted with the furnishing and marvelous architecture. They provided delicious breakfast using eggs from their property with fresh fruit and coffee. It’s a very quiet place with a ton of greenery and a path that leads down to a beach that feels private. I cannot recommend this home enough to share and enjoy, it was phenomenal! You’ll feel at home.
