Ended up here on a whim while walking the stockyards. Let me tell you it was the best little mistake ever! The warm welcome walking in and the outstanding service provided by our waitress only elevated the experience. The food came out quick and was delicious. Who would have known blue cheese and pinon nuts were the perfect addition for sauteed spinach!? Prime rib was cooked great and the creamy horseradish sauce was top notch. If you’re walking the stockyards and work up an appetite, let H3 take care of it for you!

Stopped into H3 Ranch in Fort Worth—overall a decent experience. Food was good, service was solid, but nothing that really stood out as amazing.

If you’re in the area it’s a fine option.

We stopped here for lunch on a Saturday. We didn’t have a reservation but we were able to get seated straight away. The service was prompt and we quickly put in our drink orders (a mango & pineapple margarita for me and a beer for my other half). The margarita was a little sweeter than I was expecting, and didn’t seem like it had much tequila in it, but it was nice enough.

We then put in our food orders; I went for the catfish (with spinach as my side as I had seen good reviews of this) and my partner had the chicken fried steak. Food arrived quickly but my dish was extremely disappointing. The catfish had no flavour at all (even after putting lemon, salt and pepper on it) and I would say it is the worst catfish I have ever had. The spinach came with some sort of gravy/cheese sauce and I really didn’t like this either, my partner did eat it though so I think my dislike of this is more personal preference. My partners dish was great though (he said it was the best chicken fried steak he has had) and the fries were awesome (they could have used some of the seasoning on the fries in the catfish dish).

If you are just looking for a casual lunch spot, with large portions, then this place would be fine. I probably wouldn’t return though as I think there are better spots in the area. Total bill, including tax and tip, came to c$80 which we thought was reasonable.
