I am absolutely delighted with the service provided by GilTech Appliance.
The first two companies that tried to fix our Wolf oven couldn’t do it. Gil figured out the problem on the first visit, did research after the visit and ordered the required part from the factory (unlike the first company that bought a used part on eBay that did not work). He installed the part on a second visit (sooner than I expected) and the oven is working again. I really appreciate how thorough he is, how punctual he is and how he communicated along the way to keep me updated. He is super professional in every way and I highly recommend him.

SECOND REVIEW: Do you need an Appliance Repair man that is FAST, EXPERT, CLEAN, FAIR, & FRIENDLY??? “I KNOW A GUY!!!” Gilbert, the owner of GilTech Appliance is the best! This is my second experience with him. The first one, we called him late Saturday & he came Sunday morning & fixed a complicated repair on our Refrigerator. He took the refrigerator apart in about 10 minutes like it was a Transformer; it was amazing to watch! He didn’t need manuals – this was clearly not his first Rodeo! ;-). He fixed the computer board & problem solved!
The second one (today), we called him last night & he showed up at noon today. He fixed the problem in about 10-15 minutes.
Everyone needs a GREAT Appliance Repair man… your search is over!!!
FIRST REVIEW: I was looking for someone with great Reviews, who was very experienced, who could & did respond quickly, & who would make themselves available in short order. I also preferred a small local business with a single owner/operator. I found one who made themselves available the next day (Sunday morning) after my 8pm Saturday night call. He was very clean & personable coming through the door. Within a few minutes he disassembled the key refrigerator parts like it was a toy to get to the root of the problem. He had all the parts in his truck to fix the problem for my specific model of refrigerator and did just that in what I would call “no time” relative to his long I thought it might take. I now “know a guy” who is my Refrigerator fixit man! If you are looking for someone to fix your refrigerator in the manner I experienced, Gilbert of Giltech Appliance may become your “Refrigerator Guy” too. I highly recommend him!

A few weeks ago, our fridge experienced the dreaded failed compressor issue. It was over the weekend and we had just bought groceries. Plus we have meds that need to be refrigerated. Double whammy! After doing some research on local repair techs, we decided to go with Gilbert. After we reached out, we did a short phone consultation and worked with me on getting a repair scheduled. Gilbert arrived on time and was very professional. He was up front about cost, expectations and was very professional. He replaced the compressor and got our fridge up and running in no time! He also suggested that we contact LG to see if they can at least reimburse us for the cost of the compressor since it was a known issue for our LG fridge model.
Definitely hire Gilbert if you are in need of a refrigerator repair. The man knows his stuff!! I highly suggest you thoroughly review his website. He lays it all out for you on what to expect if you hire him.
Fast forward a couple of weeks and LG actually responded back and agreed to reimburse us for the compressor! Thank you Gilbert!

Gilbert was great in communication both by phone and text to set up appointment and came when he said he would. Since we were having a hard time finding an appliance repair person that would give us service in Hollister, we were so thrilled that Gilbert had no problem making the trip and was so nice to come out as quick as he did. He was able to make the necessary repairs to both our freezer and refrigerator. Very knowledgeable with appliance problems and solutions. He is fast and was very thorough with his work. We will call him first the next time we have a problem.
