I stopped by Gaby’s Restaurant in Watsonville after spending most of the afternoon helping a friend move nearby and needed something filling before the drive home. I ordered the super burrito and it absolutely delivered. The portion size was huge, packed with flavorful meat, fresh ingredients, and perfectly balanced without feeling greasy or overdone. You could tell everything was made fresh, and it came out quickly even though they were busy. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere felt welcoming and relaxed. It was exactly the kind of satisfying meal we needed after a long day. I’ll definitely be stopping back next time I’m in the area.
Gaby’s restaurant is exceptional local small business food. The food is delicious and tasty. The prices are very affordable and reasonable, the sizes are big, Gaby and her family hook the community up big time and that is a win for all. Wait time is fast. This is a must stop if you love Mexican food.
Good food. Large portions. Reasonable prices. Milanesa was overcooked but tasty. Fries very good. Corn tortillas very good. Tacos had a huge mound of carne asada. Chicharron papusa great with the pickled cabbage. This is a basic no frills family-run place. They need to update the menu, because prices charged were a little off when the bill came. Will be back to try other foods!
I had a fried tilapia. It was huge. Came with rice, beans, salad AND fries. Portions are huge. Staff is friendly just don’t really come around after your dish is served but that was OK with me. I’ll return and try their other dishes.

Everyone was very nice. The place is much bigger inside than it seems outside. The papusas were good! I got the pastor, calabasita, and loroco.
I know it’s a minor detail but I like my papusas crispy on the outside so I probably won’t be back which is a bummer :/
