Visited July 5 2026 in Yuba City.
They opened June 1 2026 ( soft opening ). They are suppose to be open 24 hours with both dine in and a drive thru.
What I found at around 930am was a locked door and a blocked drive thru entrance!
Many cars were coming in and were bewildered too as to why that were not open! I understand they are brand new and probably trying to get qualified employees but don’t display it’s open when it’s not!
I really wanted to try this place! Maybe another time!
Btw..I would call in advance to make sure they are open!

El Forastero gets 3 stars from us, and here’s the honest breakdown.
The atmosphere is genuinely lovely — super clean, well put together, and the girl working the front counter was sweet, helpful, and made us feel welcome. That part? No complaints.
The food, though, was mid at best. We ordered a bean burrito, a birria pizza, and the birria ramen. The bean burrito was pretty basic — nothing exciting, not much flavor going on. The birria pizza was fine. But the ramen? That was the biggest letdown of the night. The noodles were low quality and just didn’t work, and the broth completely missed the mark. If you’ve had birria ramen before, you know how good it can be — and this was not it. Valencia’s has the best birria ramen around and honestly, it’s untouchable. El Forastero’s version just doesn’t come close.
And then there’s the price. We spent $68 for 4 people, which felt pretty steep for what we got. When the food doesn’t deliver, that price tag stings even more.

Very disappointed. Ordered a super burrito with steak. Food was ok but my burrito was practically all rice and beans. It had almost no steak in it. The food here is very pricey. The drive thru line was long and moved slow. Antonio’s is better.
