Walking in you’ll see paper menus greet you and likely a line. A number of pastries are visible. A sweet and savory breakfast awaits.
I enjoyed Very Frenchie French Toast. A sugar bomb of taste. My spouse enjoyed the Lucky Boy Creeps which was more closely related to a burrito when it came to filling.
It can be pretty loud and busy here and you’ll be given a number that you take to your table .
So if you’re interested in taste treat you’ll enjoy it.

Went to Denica’s in Castro Valley and like always, the food did not disappoint. I ordered the guava pancakes and they were really good!!! But They’re sweet, soft, and full of flavor without being too heavy.

One thing I always like about this place is the free chips and salsa plus the unlimited agua de jamaica. It just makes the whole experience feel more worth it. Solid spot I keep going back to.

The ube pancakes were so goood! They were the highlight of my breakfast. I also ordered the chorizo burrito and it was not as good. It was a little too dense and not as flavorful (mostly salty). But overall a great restaurant in the area and a lot of locals come here!

Also many cookie options if you are cookie lovers!!!

Went with my wife on January 10, 2026, for breakfast. She had guava pancakes and I had a florentine omelette with pesto, cheese, spinach, onions and peppers. We both loved our dishes. The omelette had plenty of vegetables and tasted very fresh. The guava pancakes, though it was covered by a lot od guava sauce, was not extremely sweet, so that the guava served as a complement to the dish’s taste, rather as the main flavor. The price was commesurate with other restaurants which specialize in breakfast in the San Francisco Area.

Grew up in Hawaii so appreciate the Hawaii influenced menu! The gigantic cinnamon roll is the bomb, as are most of the baked goods like the pecan sticky roll. Mochiko chicken was awesome and authentic. Ube pancakes are really good. Didn’t care for the gravy for the loco moco, which is you only think i have had that i didn’t like. Free chips and salsa.
