The atmosphere is very cute- but service needs improvement. Our orders were taken but brought out wrong, and we never received any refills until we had to flag down one of the girls. A table behind us arrived and ordered before we came in and hadn’t had his and his daughter’s food yet, while we received ours, and we’d been there about 45 minutes before ours came out. Finally 20 minutes later they got their food and it was just toast eggs and bacon. We never got our check- had to go get it.

There was a gentleman who claimed he waited 3 hours and didn’t get his food or refills on coffee. While I understand that frustration his reaction was not justified as he was yelling at them. I will say there was no reason for the delay as it was not busy and the girls were at the front talking often, neglecting customers. The food didn’t come out well either unfortunately. From the other reviews it sounds like it’s an ongoing issue. The restaurant has a lot of potential, it just needs some improvement in terms of the staffing and food.

My daughter and I had breakfast the other day at the Daybreak Cafe in Penn Valley, California. There was plenty of seating available and we were greeted as we came in. The menu and daily specials offered were all very tasty. Our order was taken quickly and our food came out hot. The dishes we selected were both very good. There are clean bathrooms available and there is plenty of parking.
