I love the place. My husband, my 2 grandchildren and I spend those day at Clear Lake Campground. It was nice. Clean. Quiet and neighbors really friendly. But down side of is there is no real use of the lake. But pool was nice. I truly wanted more board games & activities to play in family. Have all restriction clearly stated and in writing for Ex. Are dogs allowed in pool area? Unfortunatelly morning was a little bit too noisy due to tree trimming.
We absolutely love this campground! The location is fantastic, with easy access to everything you might need while still feeling peaceful and relaxing and lots of fishing to be done. The owners and staff are incredibly kind, welcoming, and communicate exceptionally well, making every stay easy and enjoyable. It’s a wonderful place for families, very reasonably priced, and always feels safe and inviting. We highly recommend it and have come back 2 years in a row and plan to be back next year and years to come!
It was my first time camping at Clearlake campground. First of all there’s nothing Clear about that lake the water is green and looks like it contains a lot of bacteria. However I will say it is a good fishing spot. I would not recommend taking a dip in that water. The campground sites are super close together and they don’t have designated trash cans at the sights. So make sure you bring your own trash bags. The bathrooms are decent there’s a pool which was clean and they do have games for the kids. There’s a small park with a swing set, tetherball and a ping pong table that alone is why I gave it an overall 3 stars. There’s canoes to rent I believe it’s $60 for two hours and a $10 charge after that per hour. The day we checked out Lisa the manager or owner over charged my husband for the canoes rentals. I found this out when we were already back home. One last thing I will say is the workers are very nosey and she kept walking over to our sight reminding us of the rules. We won’t be back to that location again unfortunately. But if you just want a good spot to fish that’s the place to to you can catch monster catfish. The location is also close to Walmart and fast food chains.
We had such a fantastic time. The road noise was a little loud during the week but the facility was fun. Renting canoes and splashing in the pool was great. The other campers were also super friendly and fun to camp next to. The local wineries and state park were easy to get to and also enjoy. I’d highly recommend.
I am extremely frustrated and disappointed with this campground. The campers placed directly next to us were loud, disruptive, and inconsiderate well into the night, making noise until around 3:30 a.m. I was told quiet hours were enforced. We paid for a campsite expecting a reasonable night’s sleep and instead spent most of the night awake listening to our neighbors.
Because we got virtually no sleep, we made the decision to leave a day early. When I texted the host, I wasn’t even asking for a refund—I simply requested a complimentary night for a future stay as a goodwill gesture. The request was immediately denied because of their “no refunds for early departure” policy.
The issue isn’t that we left early. The issue is that the campground did not provide the quiet, enjoyable experience that guests are paying for. Hiding behind a policy while ignoring the reason a guest is leaving is poor customer service and shows a complete lack of concern for the guest experience.
If you’re looking for a peaceful campground, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.
