Eureka in general is a depressed city. But the hotel was nice, spacious and surrounded by security gates. So it was a secure spot. I was able to get a reasonably nutritious breakfast, fruit, oatmeal without suger. But there was no plant based milk for vegans and those with lactose intolerance. They need this one improvement in their breakfast line

The rooms are fine, but pretty dated. The parking lot is gated, but I’m assuming that’s a good thing because it’s needed? The area doesn’t look that unsafe, but it is right off of the highway. The entrance to the lobby to check in was really confusing to get to, you should go around to the side street NOT the entrance off the fast road that has a big sign that says “Entrance”. The staff were all fantastic, which is greatly appreciate!

We stayed at Clarion Hotel in Eureka while visiting Arcata for my stepdaughter’s wedding.
The location was very convenient, close to many local attractions, restaurants, and beautiful places around Eureka and the redwood area. It made our trip easy, comfortable, and enjoyable.
Overall, we had a nice stay and really liked the location. A good choice for anyone visiting Eureka or nearby Arcata.

The staff at the front desk was so helpful! We got into town late and was tired and she made sure to call up to our room and make sure we didn’t need any more blankets or pillows. I would definitely stay here again! I definitely recommend them! The heated pool was also a nice bonus!
