Cali Jay’s BBQ is a fantastic spot for anyone who loves authentic, flavorful barbecue. The homemade and fresh food really stands out, especially the smoked meats and delicious sides. The friendly atmosphere makes the experience even better. Definitely a great place to stop for a satisfying meal, and I would happily recommend Cali Jay’s BBQ to anyone looking for quality BBQ in the area!

Everytime I get food from here it is so amazing! I got it once at the fair and both of the sandwiches were so good. Then when they did the free entree coupon of course I had to participate. The tacos were so much better than homemade and thats hard to find! They definitely need to win best restaurant in America! They deserve it!!
Only thing that would ever make it better is Montana mustard from the mustard man himself.

Cali Jay’s BBQ is our favorite place to eat out. Every time we go to Hayfork, we stop there to eat or grab some (actually a lot, the portions are great!) to take home. We live 45 minutes away, but have absolutely made the drive specifically to grab some food there! It’s literally THAT tasty! On top of the amazing meals they dish out, the environment is very welcoming, and the space is clean! They now share a space with Northern Delight which is a coffee and pastry cafe. The building is very open, has bar seating, and a small stage where they have performances or karaoke. Their back outside area is the perfect chill spot when weather is nice! They allow dogs in their back outside area, which I think is neat. The backstory on how Cali Jay’s was turned into a functioning (and thriving) business is sweet and sentimental. Long story short, Cali Jay’s BBQ is a sure place to go for a good meal experience.

BBQ was sold out (good sign) by the time I got there so I had the pleasure of trying their burgers. Wow they’re delicious! The cook overheard me ask about jalapeños and asked if I wanted some hatch peppers from NM on my burger. That was a great burger.
