As someone else noted, a little more clarity in the greeting & seating would help customers to feel at ease when they arrive, but that wasn’t really a big deal for us…

The big deal came about half an hour after we ordered her vegetarian pizza and my pepperoni, canadian bacon, and pineapple pizza. Mine was topped with pepperoni, canadian bacon, pineapple, artichoke hearts, olives, and all the other toppings from the vegetable pizza. I’m really not a fan of any of those other vegetarian toppings (big understatement there), so I let the young lady who served it know that I did not order all those things. She was not the same young lady who took our order and she tried to tell us it was made as ordered at first, but then looked at the order and took it away somewhat unpleasantly.

About that time my wife noticed hers was missing the artichoke hearts. The young lady was already doing something else and hadn’t bothered to make sure hers was OK, but she got her attention and was able to communicate the issue. The server came back and slapped down a plastic condiment cup with 3-4 large pieces of cold artichoke in front of her and then ran back off. My wife asked for it to instead be remade with the artichoke cooked in like it was supposed to be. The servers first response was “what do you want me to do about it?”

Finally she quite angrily took my wife’s pizza away and began yelling at the kitchen staff. We were already hungry and felt like she was blaming us for their errors, which made us insecure about the quality of food that might come back, so we left. I really hate doing that, knowing how hard it is to keep a restaurant running. I would prefer to establish a rapport and resolve the conflict, but once you’ve made me insecure about my food, that ship has sailed.

We had a wonderful lunch outside on the deck. Food was terrific ( especially that slaw!) The service was excellent, and the atmosphere out on the water made for a perfect lunch for us! It was the best restaurant by far on our 2-week trip to Sacramento, CA and back to Oregon!

Beautiful place to have a meal. What a setting…on a deck over the water at a table with an umbrella. What’s not to like!! And the food was excellent. My burger was cooked perfectly (med-rare), moist, with absolutely delicious sauces and fresh condiments. My buddy and I were on an “Adventure” motorcycle ride, which is the new term for riding a Dual-purpose bike on remote back roads. We stopped here for lunch, and it was the perfect addition to an already magnificent experience. Others pulled up in boats, and it’s obvious that this place is well-loved and well-attended by locals.

We had very tasty fish n chips.. I swapped the regular fries for sweet potato.. yum.. it’s right on the river shore with beautiful views . You can eat out on the deck ( table, chairs and umbrellas) we were told they have live music during the summer months! We’ll absolutely return soon! Friendly staff and reasonable prices on food and drinks.
