I didn’t rate the rooms only because I haven’t seen one myself. I’m sure they’re nice tho. The campground is lovely and sits between two nice chilly rivers that cool you off quite nicely on hot summer days. Tom and Margi are the nicest people you’ll ever meet, he’s a picker and she’s a grinner! Get back to nature and lay back just outside of the friendly town of Covelo. I haven’t been for a few years, so I’m looking forward to a visit soon.
Good atmosphere, good people. Good burgers.
Update: no longer serving burgers or selling refreshments, but the cabins and campground are still open. Tom continues to be an outstanding host! Highly recommend a visit!
Great food (like, really dang good!!) and ice cold drinks plus friendly people and a gorgeous peaceful atmosphere make this one of my favorite lunch stops on our long adventure moto rides. Lots of other supplies in the store if you are camping in the nearby National Forest, as well as laundry facilities (I believe).
Love this place. Everything about it. Tom and Margi, the owners, are incredibly hospitable and friendly. This place is the “hub” of the area within miles around. Not only is the service excellent, but the amenities too. Washer, dryer, restroom, shower, campground, outside patio eating area, store, beer/wine, outside kitchen, propane filling, beautiful landscape, cabins to rent with an outside hot tub, music and dancing in the summer and good old fashion southern style hospitality. I absolutely love this place!
It’s a welcoming place out in the Mendocino National Forest cross roads where hunters, fishers, and campers can stop in and get bite to eat and a cold drink. The BBQ menu is well rounded and the burger is worth it even if there’s no fries. Or if you want a place to stay the night they have cabins, and a campground with RV outlets if your not old fashioning it tent style. Also showers available or its next to the river too.
