Solid Mexican food, number 24 is my go to! Sauce is amazing, not watered down (if you know what I mean then you know) and bacon is never over cooked feeling like yesterday’s reheated bacon! Oh! And good hangover food!

Baldo’s is a Vacaville staple and tradition!! We stop every time we are in town and are never disappointed!! The #7 is my favorite but seriously everything slaps!! Open 24/7 and they serve breakfast all day!! Thank you all for all the memories and meals!!
ROBERT'S DAILY REPORT
This place does false advertising and charges customers different prices on receipt and bank statements from what’s advertised on their menus.
“WARNING: Be careful when you go to eat at Baldos in Vacaville. They are ripping off people. I went yesterday evening. I got the #9 two chicken tacos which the menu outside said was supposed to be 14.99. I get to the window and he says the total is 18.37. I was caught a little off guard. There was nothing said about a price change. (I know I should have asked). I paid with my credit card and when I got my receipt it said the meal was 16.99 + tax. I asked about the price difference and they only said “oh thats the old meu prices”. I informed them that was wrong to advertise one price then charge another. He said that he would let management know. There was no offer for a refund. Then I wake up this morning and got a notification from my bank that they charged me 19.01. I checked my receipt, it said the tender was cash for 18.37. He never mentioned about a credit card fee nor is there any signage about it. Not sure who at the city I need to report this too. If they are doing this to my friend and I, there is no telling who else they are ripping off.”

Being stationed in Southern Cali in the early 90s, I was first introduced to Albertos, then Adelebertos, Robertitos, Santana’s, and other 24 hr mexican fast food establishments after that, sharing the same menus and quality but under different names. The typical go-to menu items are the carne asade burrito, rolled tacos, and the carne asada fries. Baldos is that place in Vacaville. The order was just as I remembered, with the red and green sauces a completing the flavor. To the old jarheads who know what I’m talking about, this is your place if your looking for that anytime meal.

A good hack is to order the fries medium or well done, and they will do it, they’re less soggy and better this way, I feel. Baldo’s always delivers on the food – when we went, at 7pm, the dining room was closed, so had to do drive through (seems to be their business model now, I wonder if it will change). Carne asada fries are a huge serving size (cost about $16-$19), but absolutely the right ratio of meat – it’s enough to split between two smaller people, or a mountain of food for one person, even if you’re big. Could’ve been a little more guac or avocado, but it’s in there, somewhere, haha. And the salsas are fire, as usual, just gotta make sure to ask for enough (extra). I’ll be back soon, as always!
