Aroma Restaurant in Shaver Lake has become our go to, and it earns it every single time. The food is consistently amazing, and the ribeye is the star. Cooked to perfection on every visit. Tender, juicy, and full of flavor. Honestly the best steak we have had out in a long time. The chimichurri fries were insane, the bacon wrapped shrimp,
and the smoked old fashioned were delicious.
The service matches the kitchen. The staff is attentive without hovering, and they clearly care about the experience. We went back recently for a special dinner celebrating friends who had just gotten engaged, and the chef came out to check on our table. He was personable, warm, and genuinely gracious. That kind of touch is rare and it made the night.
If you are in Shaver Lake, do not skip this place. Order the ribeye.
Best dinner of my life! We had the ribeye with mashed potatoes and fresh roasted veggies and the chicken Marsala! The staff was super busy but handled everything with grace and ease! Jen behind the bar poured amazing drinks as well! Thank you to the whole team for making our experience wonderful! We will be back soon!
We were a large party and the food was great. The crabcakes were a little underwhelming, but the appetizer ribs were fantastic. The sauce for the chicken marsala was absolutely delicious, however the chicken was overcooked and a bit tough. We ordered 3 different burgers and they were all amazing! And the absolute highlight of the evening was my husband’s steak. It was one of the best steaks he’s eaten in a long time. The cocktails were also very delicious. I really enjoyed my blackberry mojito and my husband really liked the blood orange margarita. All in all a really good experience!
Excellent Steak and Service, But Skip the Bread
What do you call a sad steak? A miss-steak. Thankfully, there were no such tragedies here. I came for a nice dinner and found a very comfortable spot with a unique ambience, both inside and out. The staff was incredibly helpful and attentive throughout the entire meal.
The main event, the Rib Eye, was cooked exactly as I requested, featuring a beautiful crust that gave way to a perfectly prepared interior. While it leaned a bit on the salty side for my personal taste, it was an excellent cut of meat and well-executed. The zucchini sticks were a standout appetizer—pleasantly thick and very flavorful.
The one true disappointment was the bread. The rolls were dry and completely unremarkable. Honestly, they could have just saved themselves the effort. Despite this minor carb-related incident, the overall experience was fantastic.
I would definitely recommend Aroma Tavern to anyone looking for a place with great service and a masterfully cooked steak. Just maybe fill up on the tasty zucchini instead of the bread.
