We stopped at the gift shop here and were able to buy a few things. And really enjoyed. It took a picture of the grandfather tree and the time we were able to spend with kids was great
Nestled within the Redwoods of Northern CA, quiet/peaceful. Individual sites are not shaded so you need to book a site on the edge if you want respite from the heat during the daytime (temps were upper 80’s during our June stay).
We enjoyed our stay here. The sites are very level and we had no trouble with the services at all. As is typical in water starved California, the water pressure was low. The bathrooms, showers and laundry room were immaculate. There is a dumpster but no recycling. There is poison oak around the edges of the property but the owner works to keep it mowed back. Poison oak is all over the region, we saw it in most area in the redwoods. When I spoke with the owner while making my reservations he voluntarily worked to not have us parked in a spot directly next to another camper. He can do this at this time of year because it wasn’t busy. I very much appreciated him taking the time to work out these details. I do recommend this small self service campground, it’s no frills but well maintained and the perfect launching point for exploring the redwoods.
A good stop over, beautiful scenery, and clean grounds. Plus, you’ve got to love the smell of Humboldt during harvest time.
Really, a no frills RV park, smack in the middle of the coastal redwoods. Sites are close together, everything was very clean, large dog open dog area, small “country store” and Knick knack shop. Star link had clear shot, decent speeds. The South side of the park, the sites get decent shade, the middle sites get sun all day. All hookups worked as expected.
There’s a camp host, but you check in at the shop.
Beautiful drive, beautiful area, beautiful smells.

Great location, excellent for RVs, loads of space and right near the ancient redwoods. WiFi was a bit flaky and limited
