This place has the prime location for a river front view! As we drove down the hill to get to the hotel, we got nervous because the shops looked a little run down. The penthouse suite is on top of a restaurant and you can look down onto the dining area from the balcony. The penthouse needs some updates, but the view is worth it! The rooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable. I definitely recommend this place.

I rarely ever write bad reviews but felt the need to leave one as I left a telephone conversation with the front desk receptionist, or whoever answered their phone, with a bad taste in my mouth. The man who answered the phone told me I needed to hold, which was fine. When he took me off hold 10 minutes later, he answered the call and basically acted like I was stupid when I asked very basic questions about whether the hotel had availability, whether there were pet friendly rooms available, and whether a late check-in time was available. When I asked him whether late check-in was an option, he said “what do you mean late checkin?” in a rude manner, as if that was a preposterous question to ask hotel staff. I called to inquire about hotel availability and left feeling so put off by his behavior that I decided to book another hotel. It felt like he didn’t want our business so I’d prefer to give the business to someone else who treats customers with respect. Please be kinder to your customers. You never know what someone is going through.

I’ve never been so insulted in my life. I’m a nurse. I was talking to an elderly gentleman at the bar. The staff weirdly suggested I should leave for doing so. Like I was going to take advantage of him. I was trying to be considerate of a man who had shown me kindness and who clearly suffered from loneliness. I don’t even have words. The staff should likely be educated on human decency.

Didn’t need any service. Everything was just perfect. The construction was no bother. Room was very clean and everything worked perfectly. Water view with wildlife (no night-time barking this time) fun and easy to view. Can’t wait to stay again.

Right in the harbor. Food is excellent and plentiful. Old time, real service, not the faux smiles and banter like at so many restaurants these days. Sea lions swimming by the window while they are making a living.
