Still a wonderful generational pit stop on an otherwise long road trip. Don’t get me wrong. Property does need maintenance and a bit of facelift. I still encourage people to make a stop here. I spoke with the owner. They’re open more on summer seasonal schedules and the mean access through the tree is no longer accessible because the tree is still growing and they don’t want to carve away at it just for the door.

The tree is open from Memorial Day weekend through to October, but there was a nice lady who saw we had stopped and let us have a look inside. Quite amazing! The tree is still growing and looks very healthy.

This place is amazing. Road trip perfection. The tree house really is incredible and the gift shop is 10/10

The tree is a magnificent, magical 4,000 years old god. Too bad it has not giving the proper respect it deserves. Inside was converted into a tourist trap full of junk. Even if those things were interesting antiques, they should have preserve this space for a better appreciation of this magnificent history. The huge painting and things hanging all around are blocking the view. They already have an overloaded store next to it …But it wasn’t enough. This tree should be in the hands of a society that cares about our history /our amazing nature, and means to protected it. My apologies, love and respect to this wonderful tree!!!

The owner is very kind. Bring cash if you can. They take cards, but it’s hard to get card readers to work out here. The tree house was just one room, but neat to visit. I wish there was less stuff in there so you could actually experience the room or that it was set up to look like an actual room in a house.
