My wife and I recently dined at Time Out, and I wanted to personally reach out.
We were very impressed with the service, the energy of the space, and the overall experience. It’s clear there’s a strong foundation here—not just as a restaurant, but as a destination.
That’s what caught my attention.
With the right positioning and marketing strategy, Time Out has the potential to significantly increase customer retention, repeat visits, and overall visibility in the Eureka market.
I’d welcome the opportunity to connect and explore how I can contribute to that growth.
Best regards,
Dined in Sunday, March 22. The fish and chips have always been amazing so imagine our surprise when the fish was inedible. I’m sure we should have said something, but it took so long to get our order. The fries have always bern amazing, but it seemed the fish had either set out too long or was cooked in cold oil as the exterior batter was mushy and soft and the inside fish was overly moist and mushy with oil. We elected to get a to go box and upon arriving home threw it in the garbage…. It was a shame as we threw $40 in the garbage. The waitress was a very cute blonde, and the only one in the restaurant waiting on customers. She was hustling, smiling, pleasant to all the customers, repeatedly asking if everything was OK and if she could get us anything else, and was the star of the evening. Upon arriving, we felt under scrutiny as everyone at the bar turns to look as you come in the door, it felt like we were intruding. I do believe they must be regulars as their Conversation with the bartender was continual and seemed more on a personal knowledge level. I think it will be quite awhile before we think of attempting to try them again…. So very sorry to see the quality of food as Eureka really needs some good places to dine and this was a favorite for fish and chips.
Edit:
Finally returned and had a chance to try the chicken marsela, it was amazing! Had the pleasure of having Paige serve me again, she was attentive and very friendly. Once again the restaurant seemed full of happiness and all patrons seemed to be enjoying their food and experience. Wednesday is bull night and several kids and parents were having fun. All in all a great experience. I will return and recommend.
Original review:
Read the reviews and after some of the negative I was h7esitant. I travel here often for work and once I am parked I want food walking distance so I can enjoy a beer. Shamious has always been the only option. The general appearance is good, exceeds expectations set by other reviewers. The food was good and freash, while I enjoyed my meal I wished I would have chosen the chicken marsela, maybe next time. I chose to sit at the bar and found service above par, on a Friday night they never let me go underserved and were very social while not ignoring other customers. Faith and Paige did an excellent job. I watched other waitresses and table service seemed spot on, everyone seemed happy. The food was fast and good quality. Reading other notes about agessive management and degrading of staff, I did not witness that and everyone seemed happy in their job. The kids were having fun with table games. Others mentioned the girls had overly suggestive clothing. Not true, The outfits are very appropriate and the girls seemed happy. Will definitely returm.
Almost didn’t get the chance to eat here because the server who seated us initially gave us a dirty look for asking to sit at a booth (my partner has balance issues and needs a lower table for safety), sat us far from everyone else around the corner and then stormed away and ignored us even though she only had three other tables that were all either finishing up or already done. The busser looked sympathetic as we tried to get the server’s attention to no avail. After waiting over 10 minutes without her coming back or even glancing our way, we were about to leave with no service when the bartender Paige came to our rescue, coming around from her full bar to check on us and offering us drinks and food. She was knowledgable about the menu, kind, and conscientious. Our food came out pretty soon after we ordered, and Paige checked on us the perfect amount to make sure we had everything we needed.
The atmosphere was OK, pretty typical sports bar feel to it, but the restaurant was very clean. Props to the busser for being prompt and thorough. I do think the music volume was excessive just because the restaurant was not nearly populated enough to need the volume up that high… it was distracting but not so loud we couldn’t hear each other.
The kitchen staff really know what they are doing here! It is rare that I receive a steak cooked exactly as ordered that I can eat in full; they achieved the doneness I asked for and rendered even the fat on the steak so it was soft and enjoyable instead of stringy, chewy garbage. I found the recipe questionable on the fried ravioli and their sauce, but the pieces were perfectly cooked and my partner loved the ravioli and needed it after a long day at the hospital.
