Solid little transit stop near Leggett. Plenty of parking on both sides of hwy 101, even for RVs and trucks. Crossing the hwy was a bit dicy, but doable with waiting for a break. Food was good with lots of options and the outdoor seating was shaded and comfortable even with the temps over 90F. A little 2 man band was playing folk music while you waited and the food service was quick.

Local gem, great outdoor seating with lots of shade, lovely garden and ambiance with artists often playing live music. Amazing food! Barbecued oysters, western cheeseburger, and chicken sandwich are all delicious. The whole menu looks great too. And one of the best little gift shops too, so many fun nick nacks. Outdoor restrooms are decent but great for a quick stop, and a small dispensary nearby as well. Great stop along the 101!

Pretty cool little spot to stop on the way to Humbolt County. They have a great gift shop as well. Gets pretty busy in the summer time and has live music.

This was my first visit to The Peg House, and the reason I stopped was actually because of a sticker on my friend’s car that said, “Never Stop at The Peg House.” It made me curious, so we decided to check it out!
I didn’t eat during this visit, but I spent some time looking around and really enjoyed the unique atmosphere. The gift shop was fun to browse, with a nice selection of interesting items. The prices on the food menu seemed very reasonable, and my friend had a burger that he couldn’t stop talking about.
The whole place has a welcoming, laid-back vibe that makes it feel special and different from your typical roadside stop. I’m glad I finally visited and will definitely come back to try the food next time.
