It’s an awesome place for my son, he loves to go there and have fun with everything, also every time he ask us to be taken to Friday night drop off.

I am a preschool teacher, and have taken many children here over the last year. They always have fun exploring, playing at the water table, and learning more ways to move their body and think creatively. We are so lucky to have a resource like this in our town!

We needed a space to host our twins 6th birthday & we were so happy to have found that the Discovery Museum facilitates parties. The space provided was clean and easy to use/decorate. Everyone was so kind & helpful-providing straight forward information.
They had so much fun with the different activities and it will be a party they won’t forget.

Compared to other Discovery Centers we’ve been to, this was the smallest and least favorite but there were still enough things to do that kept my kid and his friends occupied for over an hour. The favorite was the soft foam pit.

I’m grateful the place exists since it’s the only indoor kid playground type of place in all of Humboldt that I’ve found and I think it’s cool that the exhibits are made by volunteers and that it’s a non-profit.

I had a bit of an altercation with one of the staff who was giving me a big attitude when it was not her place to interact with me as I had already been talking to her manager about something. That really put a sour taste in my mouth but the manager made up for it and she was understanding and great. Definitely call ahead if you plan to bring a big group because that seemed to upset that person even though I bought tickets through their website.

They have 2 clean bathrooms with changing tables. No drinking fountains but they have cups and a water filter pitcher. They say no food outside of the classroom but you can have some snacks in the waiting area on the rug there which is nice.

Don’t know if we will be back anytime soon but for the price and that it’s like the only place, we might go back at least once or twice.

So much fun for our three year old and one year old. We had to take them out after two hours cause it was time for lunch and nap but they would have kept playing!!! Absolutely love how perfect it is for under age 5. The front room has some things for older kids. It’s nice how it’s basically all one giant room so if you’re going alone with multiple children it’s definitely manageable. They even have hot coffee (Keurig) and tea for kids. My only complaint is the sensory area (the busy boards were placed a little too high for the kids to reach). But overall, this place is a MUST. $6/person. Under 2 are free. Definitely affordable. Thank you!!!
