Thoroughly enjoyed their beer…wish I could find it in southern Oregon…. Had cider as well for those who don’t enjoy beer. Food was delicious from the truck and portions were big – shareable!
Myrtletown’s Redwood Curtain Brewing location is good. Like the South G location in Arcata, they’re open like all the time. Beer’s basically the same at both locations, so you can’t go wrong. If you show up here too early, before their attached food truck opens, there are a handful of nearby places to grab a bite and bring it in. Aroma’s Cafe is right there. And there’s usually a food truck in front of John’s liquors or another one by the Chevron.
Local hometown brewery that ticks all the boxes. Shuffleboard, live music, permanent food truck the Cooking Nook will have you making an evening of it. We went to grab some dinner and got to see Jared Nels who was the musical guest that night. He did some originals, covers, and he even yodeled. The food was great and out of the kitchen fairly quick but like the other location order your food first, get your drinks and settle in with your buzzer while you wait. Service at the bar was on point despite it being a little busy. This is one of our favorite Humboldt brewery’s, they also offer some non alcoholic libations for our sober friends. Pull up a table on the patio, inside or enjoy bar seating. You can even bring the kids as there’s a shelf of board games for the enthusiast.
AWESOME!
I love this place. Atmosphere is cool, people are cool, music is cool, and the beer is VERY good.
Good indoor seating and a big patio too.
One thing I really appreciated about it was the music was low. I could hear people talk and they didn’t have to yell at each other. There so many breweries now where they play the music at concert level volume…ridiculous.
They also some sweet pint glasses for sale (I bought one).
Anyway, I cant recommend this place enough.
If you’re passing through, add this to your list!
Stopped in on a road trip for a beer. Pleasant home town atmosphere. The establishment lacked neither character nor beer choices. They had games for the kiddos and shuffleboard for the adults. The staff were friendly and the restrooms were clean. There was a patio area with food truck offerings, but plenty of seating indoors.
