We had reserved two spots for two separate nights as a stopover site on our trip to and from Crescent City. My family always tries to reserve privately owned campgrounds over KOAs when possible. The campground is clean, quiet, and well maintained. There are a lot of permanent residents, maybe Red Bluff Trailer Park is a better name. Our first night we had to beg a resident for the bathroom code because we arrived after hours, there was no information left for us, and the code was buried in our confirmation email. Our second night was a little more interesting. We arrived around 8:30 pm to discover that one of our 2 reserved sites had been listed as available on the front door AND was taken! Then as we were setting up, the insane lady in site 43 came over and started yelling at us in front of our children for….talking. She cited our previous stay and called us “the most disrespectful campers she’s ever seen.” We had laughed with some friends but were only outside our camper for 45 minutes tops. We said hello to our friends and set up our trailer. So although it was well-maintained, we will NOT be staying here again.

As of July 1, 2026 I still haven’t received a response. I submitted my reservation request on Friday, June 26, followed up with two calls that day, and called twice more on Monday, June 29. I realize it’s the week leading up to the busy holiday weekend, but I was hoping to at least hear back regarding availability.

I’ve never stayed here, so I can’t comment on the property itself, but I was disappointed that I never had the opportunity to even have a conversation about vacancy. On to the next campground.

Unfortunately, communication was very disappointing. We submitted an online request and also called multiple times but never received any response. We understand parks can get busy, but even a quick acknowledgment or update would have been appreciated. Perhaps they are no longer accepting short/day-stay guests. If so, it would be helpful not to advertise that option. Reliable communication is especially important for RV travelers trying to plan stops while on the road.

I lived here for a year and a half now. The place is great and reasonable. Quit sending me text messages.
