Been going here since I was a kid. Still love this place. Plenty of stuff to do out doors from trail riding, shooting, archery, chilling by creek, lounging by pools or hot tub, petting zoo, horse back riding, fishing, etc. This place has it!

Okay but why is R-Wild Horse Ranch low-key one of the most underrated spots in NorCal?

Wonderful place to visit and relax. If you have an ATV or FWD vehicle you can get out on the trails (be safe and cautious) to take in the surroundings but be aware of hunting seasons and where you are on the trials. This location is fairly remote so emergency services are not readily available, no one is coming to save you. They use HAM radio up here having a radio isn’t necessary but highly recommended.
There’s a small outdoor range unmanned but usually empty. Fits 4 seats and a two tables. Enough room to throw disks for trap.
Theres a family friendly club house on the 2nd level that has a pool, plenty room for a large group. Then the adults only on the 3rd level that also has a pool and hot tub.
The “hotel” is nice but does have bugs
Now for the bad part… Since my short time being here as a guest non owner less than 5 times lately I’ve noticed trash and beer bottles being left behind mainly Modelo, pacifico and lays chips on the trails. I don’t know who these new folks are but why come all this way just to leave trash and be a nuisance?? This is why we have ridiculous laws and cameras everywhere, zero accountability.

It’s a very gorgeous place I can truly recommend it to everybody you can take your ATVs and ride them on the beautiful trails that they have some beautiful creeks, most of their cabins have two bunk beds and then one twin so that sleeps five people they also have plenty of showers right next to the cabins they have a full complimentary kitchen that has pots pans everything you might need for cooking coffee pots microwaves everything’s kept very clean showers are clean and toilets they also have swimming pools a hot spa and horses that the members can ride and if you are an early bird like I am you might want to go for a morning walk with a cup of coffee and enjoy the view the freshness of the morning it is absolutely gorgeous people there are very friendly very polite can’t wait to go back there again forgot to mention they have horseshoe pits also ping pong they also have an activities room for children and adults lots of extras that I have not mentioned go check it out it’s located in Platina ,California and forgot to mention one more thing they have great appetizers for kids in adults next to the pool and the activities room have a lot of tables with umbrellas so that you can sit right next to the pool and watch her kids and enjoy the day to the max!!
