Worst metaphysical shop experience I’ve ever had. Energy doesn’t lie.

A shop that claims to sell spiritual tools and high-vibe items should know how to project welcoming energy, but the experience I had here was completely toxic and off-putting. I walked in, and the woman at the front desk, Lacy, completely ignored me and another woman who was browsing. I’m not sure but I don’t believe she is the owner. Not a single word of greeting or acknowledgment from Lacy. However, the exact second a white woman walked through the door, Lacy immediately perked up, smiled warmly, and greeted her out loud from her seat. The double standard was loud and clear.

When I confronted Lacy about the blatant lack of acknowledgment and told her I had driven all the way to this shop specifically to buy love incense and oils for a wedding, she didn’t even have the decency to apologize and said sorry you felt that way. Instead, she immediately gaslit me, claiming she had said hi and that I just didn’t hear her. She then randomly started explaining that she used to work in the mental health field and took this job because it’s “calm and no stress.”

I directly communicated with her at the front desk that I was having a terrible experience. She didn’t even bother to stand up or take accountability. She just sat there, looking completely out of body and barely functioning, dismissively telling me, “it’s okay, it’s okay, my coworkers say I speak low most times.” It is not okay to ignore paying customers and then excuse it away with zero professionalism.

The energy in this store was so deeply uncomfortable and fake-spiritual that I refused to spend any more energy trying to effectively communicate with her. You cannot sell sacred, high-vibe items while projecting ungrounded, exclusionary, and disrespectful energy. When I walked out and said, “have a good one,” she just muttered, “yep you too.” Absolute worst experience I’ve ever had at a metaphysical shop unfortunately. Avoid this place if you actually value real community and genuine energy.
