Brie Gorter
This is the only hotel I stay in when I come to Mount Shasta. It’s so clean, the staff is so friendly & the communication with their customers is so clear. You check in via text & get the code to the door, they ask you by text every day if you want room service, and you check out via text. It’s so easy. This place is the perfect temporary home while on vacation. It doesn’t have any over the top frills but that’s what keeps it affordable. 10/10 every time.

A very nice basic hotel and very reasonable. Our needs were provided: A bottle of sanitizer for us to use; the room was very clean; the bed was comfortable; the bathroom clean with perks of hand soap & lotion in a disposal and, in the shower, a hair shampoo & conditioner disposal. The disposal made it easy to dispense and less messy than trying to use those little soaps and plastic bottles of shampoo and conditioner. There was a back door with a small patio with chairs to sit and read or relax. I would recommend Mt. Shasta lodging to those looking for a clean and reasonably priced room. Thank you Pine Needles.
p.s. As I was researching Pine Needles Inn, I noticed that their address also listed A1 Choice Inn. I found out that A1 Choice Inn had been replaced by Pine Needles lnn with a new management and renovated. The reviews about A1 Choice Inn do not apply to Pine Needles Inn.

Very bare-bones, but serviceable. The room was small with a tiny adjoining bathroom. It was clean, but definitely no frills! Check-in/check-out felt very impersonal because it’s all done via text message with codes to access the room door. Good proximity to downtown and it was pretty quiet (I think we were the only people staying there, which was kind of spooky). The TV was really confusing and difficult to use–would be nice if instructions were available for that.

Great value and service! Staff is great at communicating and extremely attentive. I had originally booked 2 nights, but the next day my Greyhound bus didn’t show, they were able to accommodate me for another night and were able to check me in early. Beautiful view of the stars at night.

It was so easy to book and I loved all of the automated checking in etc… There was very little interaction with staff, but they were available and pleasant. Pine Needles Inn was just what I needed! The View of Mount Shasta right outside of my door, was breath taking!!! The room was super clean inside and the layout simple. had a TV and great Wi-fi. The water was hot and It was convient to have a mini Fridge (super cute) and the microwave. I really appreciated the the close adjacency to downtown Shasta and Hiking trails and shopping.
