Eating Banh Mi is in my DNA since I am part Vietnamese.
I was super skeptical. Seriously, I didn’t have high hopes for this place, especially when I saw the hamburger-looking bun on the Pigly OG sandwich. Don’t let that round bun fool you.
I ordered the Pigly OG and the Banh Mi.
The Pigly OG sandwich has a regular-type hamburger bun. However, the contents are legit: the pork has that special grilled flavor you get with Banh Mi Thit Nuong, and you can really taste the lemongrass. The pickled carrot and daikon are very fresh, and everything is super well balanced and flavorful.
The Traditional Banh Mi is like a traditional #1 banh mi you would get at a Vietnamese sandwich shop. It’s got everything that you want. I usually come home and put Maggie seasoning on my sandwiches, even when I get them from a traditional banh mi shop, and I actually forgot because I didn’t need it. The bread is very crispy and also traditional banh mi style.
You can skip the Mac Salad. To me, it didn’t have enough mayo not that great.
Try this place out, and keep ordering so we can keep it in RWC!

I’ve been enjoying pigly since they started with pop ups. I can officially say the OG lemongrass pork sandwich is delicious!! It hits all the right notes with a subtle sweetness and a little kick of spice. A must try!!

I ordered the pigly OG, the Char Siu and sides for pickup. The food was ready on time and was delicious. Very flavorful and a great balance of spice! I am looking forward to going back!!

Incredible food from Pigly. We had the OG sandwich with sides of Mac salad and coleslaw. Everything had great flavor. The OG had great bread with very flavorful lemongrass pork and yummy veggies. We highly recommend Pigly for a great meal
