We were disappointed with our experience. The chole lacked flavor and seemed dry, the chutney was not good, and the overall food quality was below expectations. Even the mango lassi was not fresh and did not taste right. Unfortunately, the meal did not meet our expectations, and we would not recommend this place based on our visit nd the samosa chaat like only onion nd sauces no channe nothing …..and the restroom was very very dirty
Inside was spacious and low lit. Staff barely spoke English so we had difficulty ordering. I asked for cilantro chutney and he said they didn’t have it. I said ‘green sauce’ and he said ok. Our party ordered 4 medium combos, 2 butter chicken and 2 tikka masala. Each combo came with naan and basmati. We also ordered 3 drinks. For some reason all but 2 drinks and the sauce came out (after about 20 minutes). We asked about the remainder of our order several times and were told just a minute. We saw patrons come after us and leave before us so my sister (upset at this point) told him we were almost done with the food, were expecting 2 more drinks and the sauce (to dip the naan). He finally gave us the rest of our order. Naan and rice were underseasoned while the curry was aggressively seasoned. Overall flavors were good.
The samosa are sooo super good with the sauce. The tikka chicken is a must get over the butter chicken but that is just my preference. The tikka chicken is really tasty and favorable. The chicken wasn’t tough or hard. Lots of seating option and the restroom smells nice! The well is very clean and well kept. If you do not like Indian food, they have pizza and Mexican in the same building. Lots of food option.
Sacramento Journey- visited this place in my 2 weeks stay for 4-5 times as it is nearby to hotel I stayed and also open till midnight. They have diff cuisines like Indian, pizza and tacos. Their naans are best also followed by Pizza. Specific mention of their signature dish called Soya chops. Never try their Chicken biryani as it is not. Which chicken biryani will have capsicum!!
I ordered the Monster Combo, and it was very filling! I recommend the Garlic Naan and the Butter Chicken! The butter chicken was a little spicy and tender! The Naan was fluffy and fresh! The food was delicious at a great value! The mango lassi tasted like real mango, and it was on the sweeter side. (GF loved it!) The atmosphere was clean with a relaxed vibe. We will definitely be back!
