Came in for the first time wondering if there was anything gluten free and… THERE IS! I had the delicious brisket, potato salad and a baked potato! (Not by myself lol). All delicious and our cashier was outstanding answering all my gluten free questions too!! So nice! Will definitely be back again and I’m so happy to have you guys in por community!!!!

This place is amazing. Finally, there’s really great BBQ in this spot, and this place will last. The BBQ is delicious, the sides are great, and there’s so much good looking stuff on the menu including salads and an amazing looking stuffed baked potato. I’m looking forward to coming back soon to try more – it will take many trips! The prices are definitely reasonable. And the people are just wonderful, everyone was so kind and friendly. You can tell this place is run differently. They’ve also done a wonderful job with the interior (and exterior); it just seems more light and clean inside with several great tables and nice decor. These guys know what they’re doing.

Mount Diablo Barbecue is an incredible addition to Lafayette! Every single thing we ordered was outstanding. The cheddar jalapeño sausage was juicy, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The burnt ends were truly to die for tender, smoky, and packed with flavor. The tri-tip was cooked to a perfect medium-rare, and the ribs were fall-off-the-bone good with just the right balance of smoke and seasoning.
The sides were just as impressive. The coleslaw had the perfect sweet and tangy balance, and the potato salad was one of the best I’ve had. On top of that, the portions are generous, making it an incredible value.
If you’re looking for authentic, high-quality barbecue, I highly recommend Mount Diablo Barbecue. What a fantastic new addition to Lafayette I can’t wait to come back!

Excellent BBQ! The service was fast and sweet. I ordered the brisket to go and I highly recommend it. It was thoughtfully packaged. The meat was tender, and well seasoned throughout, with a delicious and peppery crust. My kids thought the meat was “great and easy to chew” (after easily removing the fat and pepper crust). I will be going back to try their other offerings. Quick tip: ask for more BBQ sauce if you need it, they also have a spicy BBQ.

Came in for the soft opening and ordered the chicken and tri tip, which was some of the best I’ve ever had! I was also warmly greeted by Tanisha who helped direct me where to go. I strongly recommend coming in for the great BBQ and family like atmosphere.
