Moonraker has an amazing oceanfront view, especially around sunset. If possible, I definitely recommend getting a table by the large windows facing the ocean. The sunset over the Pacific is probably one of the best parts of the whole experience.

The service was excellent. Our waiter was attentive, friendly, and really made an effort. Everything came out on time, and overall the service was very well organized.

The Lobster Mac & Cheese was tasty and creamy, but the lobster itself was a little overcooked and dry for my taste. The full portion is around $40, and I thought this dish was a bit overpriced for what you get.

The smoked salmon was very good, especially with the cream cheese. I would definitely order that again.

We also tried the baked oysters, Oyster Rockefeller. They were good, but personally I would choose the fresh oysters on the half shell next time.

The Dungeness crab cakes were one of my favorite dishes. The crab cakes were very tasty, and the mashed potatoes and vegetables that came with them were also excellent.

For dessert, I highly recommend the Mango Crème Brûlée. It comes with mango and coconut macaroon pieces, and it was probably my favorite dessert. We also tried the Bananas Foster Bread Pudding, which was good, but I preferred the crème brûlée.

Overall, the food was very good, the service was excellent, and the ocean view is beautiful. The main downside is the price. Expect to spend around $50 per person without alcohol, and some dishes feel a little overpriced. Still, the combination of good food, very good service, and the sunset view makes Moonraker worth visiting.

The restaurant has a beautiful atmosphere and the service was good. The live piano music creates a very enjoyable dining experience, and the presentation of the dishes was excellent.

Unfortunately, the food itself was a big disappointment. Nothing tasted spoiled or bad—I wouldn’t say that at all—but the seasoning and flavor were lacking in every dish we ordered. The food was simply bland.

The carpaccio was served with grated cheese, which was a very unusual combination and, in my opinion, did not work well at all. The oysters came with what felt like an excessive amount of spinach, completely overpowering the dish and resulting in an unpleasant flavor. Finally, the seafood pasta was also very bland and lacked the seasoning and depth of flavor you would expect.

The restaurant does have parking in the back, which is convenient, but the parking area had a very unpleasant smell and almost no signage, making it confusing to find.

Overall, the ambiance, décor, and live piano were excellent, and the staff provided good service. However, despite the beautiful presentation of the dishes, the chef seems to struggle with seasoning and balancing flavors. The plates looked great, but unfortunately the taste did not live up to their appearance.

If the restaurant ever changes its chef, I would honestly be willing to come back and give it another try because the atmosphere has a lot of potential. As it stands today, though, I would not return because of the food. We spent about $210 for dinner for two, and it was definitely not worth the price. I left feeling extremely disappointed and genuinely felt that I did not receive the quality of food that the price promised.

We celebrated our anniversary here and it was really amazing. It was our first time going to this restaurant and the atmosphere was phenomenon! We will definitely come back with our other family members to share our second experience.

Moonraker was an exceptional dining experience. Much of the booth seating faces the ocean, perfect for watching the sunset over the water. Courses were amply spaced out, the smores dessert was amazing, and the manager / owner made several rounds ensuring guests were enjoying their meals. My fiance and I are greatly look forward to another visit once we’re back in town.

What can I say, one of the best date nights we’ve been to!

    Top notch food and service!

We reserved a week in advance and were lucky to get a table right in front of the window with an amazing view!

Calamari and jumbo prawns were yummy. Tried the goat cheese ravioli and it was amazing. Finished off with mousse which was so good.

Waiters were very respectful and did a great job recommending drinks.

10/10 experience – sunsets from here are magical. Live music was icing on the cake.
