Modern Yardz did an incredible job transforming our yard from a hardscape nightmare into a true SoCal oasis.
We started by working with Jake, who was incredibly consultative throughout the design process. He took the time to understand exactly what we wanted, created detailed 3D renderings, and put together a plan at a fair price. He was also extremely responsive, even on weekends, making sure we were completely happy before construction began.
Once the project started, Frank took over as project manager and Cris led the construction crew. Frank was just as communicative and consistently looked out for our best interests, offering thoughtful recommendations we hadn’t even considered. Cris and his crew were amazing. They worked hard every day, finished on schedule, and spent the final day making sure every detail was clean and perfect.
I can’t recommend Modern Yardz highly enough!

My yard needed a total renovation, everything from end to end needed to be demolished and replaced with the exception of the pool. I received several recommendations but Modern Yardz had the earliest availability for a consultation. Frank came out to review my yard and my wish list of things…walls, pavers, turf, lighting, landscaping, pergolas. I had no idea where to start but Frank made me feel immediately at ease and guided me on some options. After that first meeting and walking through the virtual design, I decided I did not need to talk to another contractor and trusted that Frank and the Modern Yardz team could do the job. It ended up being a 3 month project with a few unplanned issues along the way, but we worked through them and Frank was always there to guide on the options and provided quick responses to all my questions. Sebastian the foreman and his team on the hardscape side were efficient and do quality work. They often made up project time when we had delays on other parts of the project. Everything was worth the wait. I went from having an old, run down backyard to a Modern Yard that I enjoy, morning to evening!

Our backyard has an elevated area of land that was previously unused. We had 6 companies out to review the area and scope the project.
Modern Yardz stood out significantly due to their professionalism and clarity of pricing. Jake was our fantastic sales contact that was able to bring our idea into visuals and a 3D model. We had constant edits to materials and styles but Jake was able to get everything together and keep the project on track.
The results are exactly what we were hoping to accomplish. The workers were all very nice and worked incredibly hard. Thomas came out at the beginning to start the project off and multiple times in the finishing stages to make sure all loose ends were taken care of.
We are excited to spend the summer in our backyard thanks to Modern Yardz!

After 2 years of moving to a new home, I finally had a chance to get my backyard project with the Modern Yardz.
I have collected information about landscaping companies for years since I moved in.
Modern Yardz became the best choice for me.

Best customer service!
Weston helped me from the beginning to end.
Luke helped me after the construction started.
Weston always put himself in my shoes, and took care of everything that I needed.
I felt free and easy to ask any questions.
Since they started the construction, it took only 2 weeks to transform my beautiful backyard.
After the project ended, Weston and Luke kept contacting and asked me to make sure everything was satisfied.
Thanks, Thomas, Weston, Luke, and other staff members from Modern Yardz.
I am so happy to have the most beautiful backyard in my neighborhood.

Honestly can’t say enough good things about this company as we are SO THRILLED with the finished product. We hired them to demo and install all new pavers, grass turf and put in new drainage and the difference to our home’s entrance way and side yard is truly night and day! I never thought I would be so excited about turf and cement until I saw what they could do.
We received estimates from four different companies and felt Modern Yardz had the best solution and the most reasonable price point to fit our needs. Their communication before, during and after the job was top notch (huge shout out goes to our project manager, Russel, who answered all of our questions within minutes and kept us updated through the entire project). The owner of the company, Thomas, also checked-in multiple times to ensure the project was going as planned. The crew’s workmanship and attention to detail was phenomenal. Overall just a really refreshing customer experience! We’ve worked with several other contractors throughout the past year after moving into our home and Modern Yardz has by far been our favorite company that we’ve worked with. We look forward to working with them again as we budget for future outside project. Thank you Modern Yardz team!
