I had really good memories of grabbing a sandwich at this place and it was saved on my Mendo spots, but this past experience let me down. It took 30 min to make a sandwich (it was not busy, and also I’m actually ok with a wait if it’s a great sandwich), my wrap and my bfs bread was so (so) stale, and the service was cold, zero sense of urgency 🙁
Looking back over some other comments, my suggestions are to raise your prices (I would pay $18-20 for a great sandwich), give yourself a paycheck, invest in your bread, throw food out if it’s stale, make the ordering system more streamlined (the paper is charming! But it’s confusing if I do ticket or talk to someone is it build your own or off the menu??), put some fun unique locally produced items on the shelves (your future fresh baked bread! There was the tiniest sandwich shop in Half Moon Bay that sold just a few loaves of their own bread and it was always sold out) and pour a little love back into this place.
Tasty, cheap sandwiches but it took over 40min to get two cold sandwiches and a soup. If it wasn’t for the local beer, we would have just left. It sounded like there were a lot of phone orders. Cool, but what about the customers actually here? Watched a lot of people leave because of the wait time. What should have been done 20min of waiting turned into 40min of sitting on the gravel. It is pet-friendly.
Ate here while visiting Mendocino and liked our sandwiches so much we came back a second time a couple days later before heading home. My partner got the chipotle chicken sandwich and i got the rockfish sandwich with both pesto and tartar.
Solid place to grab a quick lunch- good amount of sandwich options; like that they offered a salad and soup too. Order was ready super fast, and the team working was accommodating of my food allergy which is always appreciated. I’d recommend grabbing to-go and eating outside along the coast.

I came here for the Rockfish Sandwich and they were out of it which was very disappointing. My husband and I ended up sharing:
– Smoked Salmon Sandwich on Sliced Sour
– Grilled Real Crab & Cheddar on a Soft Roll
Both were delicious, but the crab was my favorite. I would happily come back to try more sandwiches!
