Very bad experience at this coffee shop. I heard this was a nice place to work, so my brother and I came by. I already had coffee that day so wasn’t planning on ordering anything at the moment, but he ordered his food and drink at this cafe. We shared 1 table and didn’t take up any additional space…a normal setup. When he ordered, the shop owner pressured him to urge me to order something, to which I said I was fine for now. The shop owner then walked over to me directly and handed me a menu asking me to order. I responded once again that I was fine for now. She told me I would have to leave because tables are only for those who are ordering. There were 2 tables in the immediate vicinity that were open on either side of us. I did not sit there alone purchasing nothing and taking up space, since my party did spend money there already… I will never return even though I live relatively close and am looking for a regular coffee shop to work at. Really rude and unwelcoming atmosphere, and I felt very singled out and disrespected, and unfortunately, as a black woman, I have to question a little further beyond the surface on why.

This is a very interesting place home like atmosphere. Food is amazing! I got the Oakland we got a garden salad and im not sure what sandwich my daughter got but the servings were hearty. Out side patio looked nice but we ate inside. I live an hour away , I’m already wanting to go back to try something different. But honestly 2 people could share 1 order .we got something different and shared between 3 people and brought leftovers home $80.00 . We enjoyed this place it was our first time , we will be back if we are in Oakland.
