Exceptional place to stay. So close to everything cool and beautiful. The hot tub is amazing after a great day there’s a sauna for two. The grounds are beautiful and the rooms are adorable.
What can we say but Wow… Perfect and Amazing B&B at the base of Mt. Shasta two short blocks from all that town has to offer. Mary & Demitri are Wonderful (!!!) hosts who go out of their way to make your stay fun, adventurous and relaxing all at once! This historic home has everything: Enchanting Yard & Views, Relaxing Rooms, Comfortable Restrooms, Hot Tub & Sauna and a very Special Library 😉
We enjoyed the amenities, and the company, as this unique retreat has all you could want when visiting the most Magical Mountain in California. There is nowhere like it on earth. Enjoy!
Thank you to our Happy Hosts and all of Mary’s Faeries!!!
Mary’s Inn in Mount Shasta is a truly special place. Mary, the owner, was incredibly kind, welcoming, and supportive, and the space is beautiful, peaceful, and very well stocked. From the moment I arrived, I could feel the high-vibration, healing energy throughout the property.
Mary works with multiple healing modalities, and I was honored to offer a sound bath in her private healing sanctuary during my stay. The space was perfect for sound and ceremony, and I even recorded a YouTube video there because the energy and setting were so special.
This is more than just a place to stay—it’s a true healing retreat. I’m deeply grateful for my experience and highly recommend Mary’s Inn to anyone visiting Mount Shasta
Mary’s Inn is a very special little slice of heaven. We were on a hiking vacation, and it was the perfect location for a relaxing, comforting, cozy, home-away-from-home base camp. We stayed in the cute little Twin Peaks room, which was perfect for our stay. The room didn’t have a fireplace or TV, but that wasn’t an issue since we spent most of our time hiking around Mount Shasta, and the September weather was warm and beautiful. There’s a great view of Mount Shasta from the bed, and the slanted window makes it easy to enjoy the night sky before drifting off to sleep. I can’t adequately describe how beautiful and serene the grounds are…pretty landscaping, gorgeous butterflies, sassy blue birds, and sweet roaming deer. I think it’s also a perfect space for any sort of spiritual or self discovery type of retreat. Mary is a very sweet and gracious host and allows guests to have their own unique experience.
Staying in this Victorian home feels like “going to Grandma’s house” — where you know your body and soul will be nourished and rested. We absolutely love it here!
We stayed here twice in the last couple months when passing through because we loved it so much. Mary is an exceptionally hospitable host and a wonderful, warm person, and truly our whole experience here has been wholesome and enriching.
We stayed both times in the Magic Mountain Room on the first floor. It has 5 large windows that account for 2 of the 4 walls of the room — revealing a stunning view of the surrounding flora and even part of gorgeous Mount Shasta. We LOVE using the fireplace and Mary provides starter logs, meaning we get a near-immediate warm, roaring fire in the hearth!
The separate bathroom is designated for our room’s use only. Though the shower is small, the clean and cute bathroom fit our needs perfectly.
The communal kitchen has a fully-stocked pantry and fridge for guests to use. The food selection is large, fresh, and varied, and has ready to eat foods as well as ingredients to make your own delicious breakfasts. The communal upstairs kitchen also has a great selection of foods and ingredients. The home has a classic dining room on the first floor and a cozy living room area upstairs on the second floor. It also has two outdoor patio areas that you can access from each floor.
The home and property grounds are beautiful, and I have yet to find any other inn that so accurately reflects the all-pervading warmth and welcome and magic that the mountain emanates. I highly recommend spending ample time in Mary’s Inn at Mount Shasta! We will be back!
