Traveling with Kelly and Greg
We just happened to stop by on the winery’s second day open under the Keck family management again. The wine was excellent, and the staff was even better! We had a wonderful experience.
Forking Standards
We visited Kenwood Vineyards as part of the Sonoma Sips program, and it ended up setting the bar for the entire day.
From the start, the experience felt genuinely personalized. Meridith was an excellent host — knowledgeable, warm, and thoughtful in how she guided us through each wine. The pacing was relaxed and unhurried. We never felt rushed through pours or like we needed to wrap up for the next group, which made the tasting feel intentional rather than transactional.
We’re not wine experts, and Meridith did a fantastic job describing the wines and answering our questions in a way that felt educational but never intimidating. We left feeling like we learned something — without ever feeling awkward or like we should have known more.
The setting was beautiful in a way that felt both vineyard-forward and tucked into nature. Surrounded by what looked like redwoods and local trees, it had that peaceful “in the woods but also at a vineyard” feeling. The barn is well maintained, and the outdoor seating was cozy even on a chilly day thanks to heaters and blankets.
The Sonoma Sips offering here was generous and thoughtfully put together, including a delicious chocolate pairing that elevated the tasting.
Overall, Kenwood delivered a polished but relaxed experience that felt educational, welcoming, and thoughtfully paced. Highly recommend — and if you can, ask for Meridith.

We did a Trail Bites and Cabernet Flight experience with Hector. This far probably the best pairing experience we’ve had during our Sonoma visit. Good wine tasting, will up with some bottles of the Jack London series wines shipped home. Cheers!

We hadn’t planned to visit Kenwood Vineyards — we were simply driving through and were drawn in by its stunning beauty. And wow, we are so glad we followed that instinct. It turned out to be the perfect stop — we ended up staying for several hours and loved every minute of it.
The wines were absolutely delicious — smooth, rich, and full of flavor. We especially enjoyed the Merlot, Cabernet, and Zins — each one was a standout. But what truly made the experience unforgettable was our host, Farideh. She was incredibly welcoming, warm, and engaging, sharing wonderful stories and going out of her way to make everyone feel comfortable.
Farideh made sure we were cozy, bringing us blankets and warming up the heat towers so we could fully enjoy the beautiful outdoor seating. She even brought out games for the kids, which was such a thoughtful touch and made the whole experience feel even more special and family-friendly.
Kenwood Vineyards was the right place at just the right time — beautiful, relaxing, and full of heart. A spontaneous stop that ended up being one of our favorite memories from the trip. Highly, highly recommend!
