Just ate here for the first time yesterday. It was super delicious. Friendly service even while it was busy which was nice. I had a huge order and they were on it quickly. Everyone who was with me loved their food and loved our shakes too. Definitely will be my regular stop for food when I’m in the area.

I ordered a western cheeseburger, onion rings and a banana shake and even though I forgot about the order sitting in my car while I shopped for groceries it was still so very tasty when I got to it! The onion rings were the beer batter style I prefer, the burger was well made and the banana shake was delicious even tho it had partially melted in the 90° heat. It is my first favorite truly local place I had eaten since moving here a year and a half ago. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed. They have two picnic tables you can eat at, otherwise its just a hole in the wall walk up window to order from. Pulling up it may not look like much but what they serve makes up for any lack of ambiance you might be used to. I feel the portions were adequate for the pricing and the small time business it supports is a pleasant bonus! Support your local small business owners by filling you bellies here!

I’ve been going to Hometown for a little over 15 years now . I love the family and how they remember you, even if its been a while since they last saw you. Their best items, in my opinion, are; the BLTs, the grilled cheese sandwich, the Philly and their fries. I only gave 4 for the atmosphere, because their parking lot can sometimes be tricky to get out of because the business is in the middle of a neighborhood lol, but thats also one of the cool things about it.

Just ordered 4 of their Fireman burgers. Expected it to take awhile longer but received our food super quick. The burgers were awesome. Not dry and plain like other places. Well worth stopping by!

In tiny Olivehurst, where quiet streets hum
And the breeze smells faintly of fries and sun,
There stands a shack — Hometown Burger, plain,
A relic that’s weathered years of change.

Ownership’s swapped hands a time or two,
Yet that faded sign still welcomes you.
Locals line up where the gravel meets gray,
For onion rings stacked in a golden display.

The burger? A tower — bold, not neat,
    Cheese melting over bacon’s heat.
Crunchy rings wedged between the buns,
Grease that whispers, “You’ve already won.”

It’s average, sure — no fancy flair,
But comfort’s found in the fryer’s air.
A hometown taste, both humble and kind,
A four-star meal for peace of mind.
