Before I say anything I want to state I’m not a picky guy and I’m ok with average experiences with vehicle service from a dealership and hardly ever give reviews. That being said I wanted to give a shout out to Hayward Nissan.

I have been going to Nissan dealerships for all my services since I got my Nissan in 2015 and they have been solid or straight forward experiences till I went to Premier Nissan of Fremont. I went there since moving to Cali and again, I’m not picky and am with straight forward experience. However the two times I went there was the worst experiences I’ve had with a Nissan dealership and for the first time since having my Nissan in 2015, declined services from a dealership each time due to my experiences there. I gave it a second chance thinking the first time was a one off. But both experiences there actually encouraged me to replace my air filters myself for the first time. After that experience I really wanted to try a different location.

I was a little nervous after the previous experience because I’ve never had a bad experience at a service center at a Nissan dealership (maybe I’ve been super lucky) but I gave Hayward Nissan a chance even though it’s a little bit of a farther drive and the phone call to set up an appointment alone gave me hope that this would be a better experience. I wish I remembered her name (she was funny and I loved her personality) but she was great. I got to talk to the service manager (Cliff) who was awesome. They have discounts for certain services sometimes on their website which I appreciate.

I met with Israel for my appointment (replace rear brake pads and rotors) and he was a great service advisor. He was informative, took time to talk to me, and actually went to find me in the waiting area to update instead of texting/ calling me and broke down the updates for me. He didn’t have to do that but it stood out to me.

The service was done in a time frame I expected, the price for the service was what I expected (the coupon from the site made it even better, and Israel went above and beyond checking up on my car personally for additional things I inquired about. I also did not feel I was being screwed with suggestions that aren’t needed.

I also left my phone on the car and drop off without realizing and I appreciate the guy who took my car realizing and handing it to me before I even realized.

Waiting room was straightforward and hard a table with outlets so I could work from there. They apparently have an office center of some sort but that takes all I needed that day. Also the self serve coffee machine was solid and came in clutch. Also the bathroom is clean.

I also appreciated that they did a car wash without me asking like most Nissan Dealerships do (I know this might be whatever to mention cause most places do this after service, but with Premier Nissan of Fremont, I had to ask and the service advisor seemed annoyed and made it sound like was a favor).

If you are not far away from Hayward Nissan and prefer your service done at a dealership but have a hard time trusting dealerships for services, I’d recommend Hayward Nissan. They have a solid team in the service department on all ends from the scheduler to the guy taking your car from drop off. This seems to be rare these days and Hayward Nissan is a diamond in the rough of when it comes to service centers at dealerships.

Keep up the great work, never stop improving, be better than the rest. Thank you Hayward Team.

I purchased a 2026 Nissan Rogue from Hayward Nissan for business/fleet use through my LLC. While I am very happy with the vehicle itself, my experience with the dealership was disappointing and far more stressful than it should have been.

From the beginning, I made it clear that I was purchasing the vehicle through my LLC for fleet purposes. The sales manager assured me that he had experience with fleet sales and understood the financing requirements. Based on that assurance, I allowed the dealership to run my credit, signed the initial purchase agreement, and made my deposit.

We were scheduled to complete the purchase on Sunday, but I was told I first needed to obtain commercial insurance. Since insurance companies were closed, I had to wait until Monday. While I was in the process of purchasing a full year of commercial insurance, I received a call informing me that Nissan had canceled the original financing approval.

I was then told that financing the vehicle through an LLC required different terms, including a significantly larger down payment, higher monthly payments, and a 36-month loan instead of the original 60-month term.

My concern isn’t that the financing terms changed—it’s that these requirements weren’t identified before my credit was pulled, my paperwork was signed, and my deposit was accepted. If the dealership truly had experience with fleet purchases, I expected these details to be addressed upfront.

What made the situation even more frustrating was the communication. I was simply told that the original deal had been canceled and was never asked whether I wanted to move forward under the revised terms. Had those options been presented to me, I would have accepted them because I had already committed to purchasing the vehicle.

The paperwork process was equally frustrating. I ended up signing the purchase documents three separate times. The first time, the finance manager was unable to process the GAP coverage correctly, requiring manual paperwork. Later, I had to repeatedly follow up because I never received complete copies of my signed documents. After more than a week of unnecessary back-and-forth, I was required to sign everything electronically a third time before the transaction was finally completed.

After my purchase, I compared offers from several other Nissan dealerships and found similarly equipped vehicles available for approximately $5,000 less. I understand that pricing varies between dealerships, but I left feeling that I had not received a competitive deal, especially considering the overall buying experience.

I genuinely enjoy my 2026 Nissan Rogue, and this review is not about the vehicle itself. It is about the purchasing experience. If you decide to buy from Hayward Nissan, make sure you verify all financing terms before authorizing a credit inquiry, carefully review every fee and add-on, compare pricing with other dealerships, and confirm that you receive complete copies of all signed documents before leaving.

Because of the poor communication, lack of preparation, repeated paperwork issues, and overall buying experience, I can only give Hayward Nissan 2 out of 5 stars.

I tried another Bay Area Nissan to have my car serviced but no luck. I called Hayward Nissan and they answered and were able to schedule me in that week. Dropped my car off and knew I was at a professional location. Was able to get a coupon, recall fixed and car ready in less than 2 hours. From here on out, this is where I’ll be taking my Rouge. Thank you Hayward Nissan!

Vlad at Hayward Nissan is the best there is in the car sales industry! He’s very professional and honest. He made sure our new/used Tesla was in immaculate condition down to the detail. You really can trust Vlad when it comes to purchasing a car. I was not asked or incentivized to write a review.
