You gotta know that you’re paying discount prices for discount rooms, but as long as you’re not expecting anything better than 2-star hotel experience, this is a phenomenal place to stay. The location can’t be beat, the staff is very friendly and helpful, and the rooms are perfectly adequate. We stayed for 5 nights, and I would absolutely stay here again!

Check in was easy and seamless! Staff was friendly, kind, & knowledgeable. Room was great, big, and clean. Excellent stay for the price & location. Elevator is very small & would be difficult for a lot of luggage/people, but that was not an issue as I was travelling light. Bathrooms are clean but very small, this was not an issue for me either, but may be to some.
Area was safe, quiet, and calm. I never felt uneasy or unsafe as a young woman alone. I would definitely stay here again, for any downtown San Diego events or exploring.

Great location.
Rooms are not the nicest. The sheets, blankets, and towels are all lowest and cheapest quality.
The tv is set on WiFi which buffered the whole time.
The room was not the cleanest.
It’s a good place to stay if you don’t plan to spend any time in the room but to sleep a couple of hours. It’s in a great location and walking distance to a lot of restaurants.
The parking is terrible it’s free however they only have 12 spots in the lot attached to the hotel. If you can’t find a spot in the lot than you’re left to find street parking.
There are no amenities like snacks, ice/water machine or a toothbrush if you’ve forgotten yours. It is equivalent to a Motel 6.

The location is a huge win! you’re right in Little Italy, so everything is walkable and super convenient. We barely needed a car and anytime we did, Ubers were quick and cheap. It made exploring so easy. Also a 10 min drive to the airport!
What really stood out though was the staff. Every person we interacted with was genuinely kind and helpful, which made the stay feel way more welcoming. I even had an issue with my reservation through a third-party site that accidentally booked an extra night, and they fixed it immediately and refunded me with no hassle.
The room itself was clean and simple, nothing fancy but definitely comfortable. It was also surprisingly quiet from other guests, which I appreciated. You will hear some outside noise since it’s close to the freeway, but that’s pretty typical for the area and didn’t bother me.
A couple things to keep in mind: the beds and pillows are definitely on the firmer side and the towels are very small and thin (child size small lol). Not a dealbreaker, just something to be aware of if you’re picky about those things!
Overall, this is a great, no-frills hotel in an amazing location with really great service. You really can’t be the price either. I’d definitely stay here again.
