Cocktails straight out of the 1950s served in an art deco dining room.

The professional, coordinated staff seated us in a snug booth and took great care of us throughout the evening.

Every dish was healthy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The local salmon was served on a bed of marinated chickpeas. The fried chicken was savory, light, and crisp, accompanied by whole mushrooms in a rich brown sauce.

For appetizers, we had crispy shrimp skewers and marinated zucchini from the wood-fired grill with a scrumptious yogurt dressing.

Dessert was a corn cheesecake with salted caramel—a sweet and savory combination that worked beautifully.

We had a lovely birthday celebration dinner at Goldfinch. Our server, Jessica, was attentive and professional, providing excellent recommendations. My husband and I ordered the mixed greens salad, and it was ample to share. The calamari appetizer with smoked chili
remoulade and shaved Parmesan was some of the best calamari we have ever tasted. We both ordered the hanger steak for our main entree, and it was extremely tender and cooked perfectly. We had the apple crisp for dessert to complete our meal. The food, atmosphere, and service were excellent; we highly recommend them. Our only request to the restaurant is to add more entrees to their menu; the menu feels limited. It would be great to see dinner specials and more entrees.

Enjoyed the atmosphere and excellent service. Unfortunately the food lacked flavor and was pretty ordinary. I was looking forward to the pavlova (an Aussie dessert) but it was shockingly hard and stale! It should be light and fluffy meringue, if you know it. Cocktails and fries were very good.
