Very convenient place to stop for a bite after visiting McCloud Falls. Its a simple dive with over counter ordering and they bring food out to you. They have inside and outside tables with 1 bathroom for customers. Elk burger was a bit bland for me and came with yummy crispy fries. My son enjoyed his chicken burger and milkshake. Wife enjoyed her patty melt and soft service ice-cream. Ingredients were very fresh and buns were soft and fluffy. Highly recommend for quick no frill meal.
Perfect place to enjoy a burger, beer, and an ice cream. If you’re driving through 89 this is the perfect spot to stop at. If you’re passing through on I-5 it is well worth it to add a couple minutes to your trip. Doesn’t get much better than this place. Cheers.
The owner is very kind and funny guy. We got the sourdough burger and the bbq bacon – it was sooooooo good and our ice cream was bombbbbb. We pigged out and barely wanted to leave to continue our trip. Will come again if we’re in the area!!
This is tough to write, but I would want this info myself. We stopped for lunch on the road and ordered cheeseburgers, one with bacon and one with jalapeños. We got two basic-sized soda drinks with free refills. PROS – the service was friendly, the food was tasty, the indoor dining area was clean, and there was a view of Mt. Shasta from the outdoor seating area. Sadly, because I had hoped to be delighted, I must provide the CONS – (1) those burgers seemed to have started out under 1/4 pound each, in that the delivered size was about 2 1/4 inches around and less than ½ inch thick. (2) I got 5 onion rings, small to middlin’ size, as the included side, with (3) a $15+ price tag and (4) bird-poopy outdoor tables. To be fair, some clean tables were also available. Our bill (including a respectable tip for the friendly service in a somewhat off-the-beaten path location for most people) was $50. That’s just too much for what we got. For that price, I should have received a big, juicy, photo-worthy burger, which it wasn’t at all, and I did them the favor of not posting a photo of it. I’m attaching current menu price photos. If this place can balance their pricing with their product when I drive through next time, I will be VERY happy to adjust this review.
