My mom had a visit on Wednesday 1/28/26 @ 2pm, I had an odd experience at the front desk. While speaking with the receptionist (who was very kind), another staff member interjected from behind the desk to discuss an outstanding balance and immediately quoted the cost of the current visit plus an additional 20% before my mother had even been seen.
They explained that there was a past-due balance and stated they had attempted to reach out multiple times. I requested that future communication regarding billing be directed to me rather than my mother. Although I did not have the full balance available at the time, I was able to make a $100 payment.
When I asked about the possibility of a payment plan, I was told they are offered, but a comment was made that “most patients don’t follow through.” I found this remark unnecessary and discouraging, and it made me feel judged for simply asking about available options. They had a $50 a month or week plan which I will take advantage of but I will pay it off on behalf of my mom ASAP so she doesn’t have to deal with it. I made sure to bring up the payment plan multiple times so they know i remember.
I believe financial discussions should be handled more privately and with greater professionalism. Clear communication is important.
Dr. Post is a very nice, understanding, and compassionate eye surgeon. His practice is well run by a full and friendly staff. Eye glasses prescriptions can be filled by a staff member who also was very attentive to my needs and interests but I filled my prescription online after receiving the practice’s guidance. They provide customized service nonetheless.

Great doctor that takes his time to explain what’s going on.
