The outback setting feels like a movie set from the 80s or 90s and I’m into it. You order first, grab a spot, and they bring everything out in to-go containers… not my favorite move for dine-in, but this is a busy college town spot so clearly it works for them. Service was solid, food was good (not mind blowing, but it hits the spot), and I appreciate the range of vegan and vegetarian options. Easy place to land when you just want something satisfying without overthinking it. Solid 3.5–4 stars.
It is a straight up Cafe style restaurant specifically for dumplings and lite Chinese Fair. Really friendly and always fresh. Order at counter and take a seat.
The food was delicious, friendly staff, and fast service. Cute little place in Davis, definitely would return. My kids loved it and all three said it’s now their favorite dumpling spot. We had cream cheese wontons, fried green onion bread, steamed pork dumplings, steamed pork & shrimp dumplings, kimchi dumplings, and Beijing noodles. Yummmmm!!!
The Dumpling House is so tasty. I never been here before and just saw it passing by. It’s so cute. We ordered and within 10 minutes our food was already coming out. The serving size is huge! We ordered the fish and chips, Pork and chives pot stickers, general Tso chicken, and Thai tea. It was so much food and we had plenty of left overs. I will be definitely coming back.
A former Fish & Chips restaurant that turned into a dumpling restaurant, and for the price, the dumplings can’t be best.
Recommend their chicken (which comes with corn) or their pork and chives dumplings ($13 for 12). What makes them unique is that the dumpling skin is a little thicker, so they taste delicious fried.
They still have fish and chips, which is surprisingly good. The fish is lightly battered and less fried than the typical fish and chips, so it tastes a little different, but healthier.
Only downsides is that they serve all the food in takeout containers (even when you’re dining in) and their outdoor tables are all plastic picnic tables
